“This organization is doing meaningful, life-changing work. You might arrive thinking you’re there to build a house, but what you gain in return is far greater. Trade in your next vacation for something more meaningful—bring your family and help change another family’s life.
And my teen said it was a lot of fun 🥰”
“Nancy and crew are AWESOME, showed us around and we bought a new refrigerator and some other things.
We have been back and they always have awesome stuff and the staff are always willing to help.”
“Great place to volunteer. 100% miss working the food drives :(Also Soldiers up to E6 I believe can receive extra assistance through their Junior Enlisted Family Center program. Take a left after entering Cassidy Gate then another left to the small rock building on the corner.Find them on FB to get further info.”
“One of the most beautiful and enriching experiences I have had in my life.My children and I had the joy of meeting Don Rubén García, an excellent human being, and the volunteers who are pure hearted.”

“We took the Painted Ladies tour and had a great time. It felt very safe, with multiple staff members keeping watch throughout. The tour was led by Bonnie, who was wonderful—very spirited and interactive as a guide. I’ve taken multiple tours with other paranormal groups, and this was definitely the best one I’ve been on. They also offered free equipment rental.
The actual meeting point had a wonderful, kooky aesthetic that really brought everything together. I would recommend this to anyone with a love of the occult and an interest in the history of the city.”

“The Children’s Grief Center provides an exceptional level of care and support for families navigating loss. Their team is highly trained, compassionate, and deeply committed to creating a safe, structured environment where children can process their grief in healthy, age‑appropriate ways. The programs are thoughtfully designed, well‑organized, and grounded in best practices. I am grateful for the professionalism and dedication shown by every staff member. This organization is truly an invaluable resource to our community.”
“Did my CPR/AED certification here. This was a great class and Roberto Caballos did an amazing job. I can honestly say with his training, I am confident and ready to save lives if needed. If you are in the El Paso area please sign up...you never know when you might be in a position to save someone.”
““The people at this facility were there for me when no one else was. They took me and my daughters in, gave us safety, shelter, and support when we needed it most. Thanks to them, I was able to get back on my feet. I’ll forever be grateful.””

“The science center is no longer there, but I still recommend this for families looking for a relaxing but educational adventure! We went on a private tour and had an excellent time. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable, and told us about all sorts of things. Local history, botany, engineering, geology, and of course paleontology. He recommended above we start the tour at 7 to beat the heat, and we also got to see a gorgeous sunrise.”

“Very nice place. I was there for the incident involving the lady and her teen son. (I wasn’t involved, just observing) and they handled everything perfectly... this lady and her son were being disrespectful and causing trouble all over the store.. we were all glad how this was handled.”
“Good store, I realize all Goodwill price are a tad high on some items. In a way it's meant to help people both consumers and people they hire. In a crazy economy Goodwill actually pays better than most paying well over the minimum wage, offering programs, incentives, health insurance, paid vacation and many more opportunities definitely a great stepping stone for thousands of employees. They usually search the price of the item used and reduce it less than the search on websites like eBay. So you do get a good deal. The people here are friendly and good people. Unfortunately they deal with hundreds of people that are not the nicest but they try their best to keep a smile on their faces. Give them a opportunity to be good to you by being good to them. Remember they are just like you trying to make a living. I had to go a couple of times to find what I need but the get hundreds of donations per day and the good stuff leaves the shelf as soon as it's put out. I had good experience but I have seen some not many of angry people that are mad at life always going in Goodwill and being rude. Just be kind.”
“I've been coming here for years and it seems that it has been updated quite a bit and the staff are friendly. The people are friendly aswell . It is an old building but it gets used and its getting maintained. Hope to see th e schedule go back to the original. And open Sunday. Thank you guys!!!”
“My children are currently attending the YMCA summer camp, and we have had a wonderful experience so far! The staff is caring, the activities are fun and engaging, and my kids look forward to going every day. We appreciate the safe and positive environment and all the hard work the director and counselors put into making summer special for kids.”
“Update April 2023: Still love this store, but discounts mentioned below are now only 15% and prices were raised significantly on clothing.(2020) I love this store on McCrae in El Paso, TX. I find lots of designer brand clothes in great condition. Senior discount on Wednesdays and military discount (w/military ID) every day.”
“This place is beyond adorable; we enjoyed every second of it. My family and I recently moved to El Paso and discovered this charming spot. It offers kids multiple opportunities for imagination and reading, which I personally never had as a child. I highly recommend making donations and taking your child here to pick out books. My husband and I also found some hidden gems for ourselves. I highly recommend it. Staff was also very sweet and helpful along with the volunteers!”
