“Biggest Dollar General I've ever been in, good selection of foods, home goods, essentials and various sundries. Prices are reasonable. I'd give it 5 stars but a few of the employees were unfriendly.”

“One of the cleanest DG’s I’ve ever seen. Usually you go into a DG with fear that the stock may cave in on you and you’ll be trapped forever. This one is kept clean as possible. The staff is nice as possible. The customers might stab you. But I’m pretty sure the staff would at least call 911 to get you help before posting it on Facebook Live. Still have to say one of the best Dollar Generals on the South Side of San Antonio.”

“The only thing about this place is that they close 15 mins before 10pm if ur in da store by 9:45 your good but if your not they ain't letting you in.... So that being said they actually close at 9:45pm”

“Phenomenal Service from Courtney — She Deserves a Raise AND a Better Checkout Counter!
I want to give a big shoutout to Courtney, who was working the evening shift at the Dollar General in Adkins around 6pm on July 14. Her customer service was absolutely phenomenal.
While she was hustling to stock shelves (and doing it with purpose!), she noticed that the checkout line was backing up due to a register issue. Without hesitation, she literally ran from stocking to open another register and help customers. She was kind, cheerful, and even shared a laugh with me about how tiny the checkout counter space is (side note to Dollar General corporate: all your stores desperately need more counter space at checkout!).
At the end of my transaction, the screen asked how my experience was—and in a total facepalm moment, I accidentally hit the red frowny face instead of the happy one. ? I was horrified and asked Courtney if I could fix it. She gave me a warm smile and said, “No, I can’t. But I am sure it will be okay.”
I asked, “Wait, do those screens affect your performance reviews?” and she STILL smiled and said, “I think so. But really, it’s okay.”
Well, it’s not okay with me if my accidental bad review gets held against someone like Courtney who is clearly giving 110%. So here I am, making it right.
Dear Dollar General Manager: DO NOT take my red frowny face seriously. It was an accident, and Courtney was AMAZING. She deserves nothing but five stars. I hope this review helps offset that rogue finger tap!

It's the 21st. Century Family Dollar. They make more than enough money to raise the minimum wage pay already and hire more employees.”
“First off, they need to change the name as you can't find anything there for $1.00. Makes a difference. The store is great for picking up sweets or your normal staples of bread, milk, eggs and more. They don't always have the same things on the shelves, but they offer a plethora of merch.”

“Yesterday, I was in need of some water. Luckly I found the Dollar General on Pecan Valley and Dollarhide stocked up but the store itself had no running water and no electricity. The workers have been there since early in the cold dark store doing their best and were helping the community. “I was there over 2 weeks ago. And when I went I was greeted very nicely and she was very courteous. I found what i needed. She asked if I found everything I needed. Which I did find and more. Lol. Thank you DG for having her as an associate. Cause I have been there before and the the older girl was not courteous at all.”
