The Harvard Hotel is in a great location for exploring the Davis Mountains. Some rooms, like room 2 or 3, offer a great balcony view, while others overlook a building. The rooms are okay, clean, and rustic with comfortable beds, though some find them a little too firm. The hotel is very clean, but some rooms show wear: shower faucets need upgrading, tubs need recaulking, toilet seats need replacing, and carpets have stains and should be sanitized. A significant point is the remote operation; there is often no staff on site. Check-in is remote, with just a sign providing contact numbers. The hotel website is less than accurate, failing to mention the remote staff or that the first-floor restaurant is permanently closed. Getting answers via text can be difficult, with responses sometimes never received. This lack of on-site help and transparency is a drawback, leading some to feel the place is a little overpriced. However, the staff can be very helpful when reached. The hotel has other issues, like an elevator that is hard to get fixed and a very torn American flag on display. Despite these problems, many still enjoy their stay and the balcony, noting it was a nice hotel at one point.
Nice hotel and well equipped, however there is no restaurant or food available on site.

Had to cancel our reservation, staff was very helpful and happy to help! Will definitely be booking here next time we visit the area.

Great location, nice enough room although the beds a little too firm. My only real complaint is the very torn and wore out American flag, just feet from our room. As a retired combat veteran, it was all I could do to keep from taking it down.
