The Gladney Center for Adoption is a beautiful place with caring, compassionate individuals who genuinely want to make a difference. For over 135 years, Gladney has been a pioneer in adoption services, focused on its mission to improve the lives of children, adoptive families, and birth parents. It believes every child deserves a loving family. The center provides a great resource through its AdoptEd curriculum for Child Development and Family and Consumer Science classes. The program is very informative and positive, easy to navigate, and offers awesome teacher support. It creates great discussion opportunities and engages students with accurate information about how adoption actually works. Students on field trips learn about the ins and outs of adoption through a hands-on simulation, like building profiles, and hear from adoptive parents. The presentation is interactive, allowing students to ask a lot of questions about the adoption process and the jobs at the center. It is a highly recommended experience for all high schools.
I have had the AdoptEd program out to my school twice this year for presentations to my girls awareness program on campus. Both sessions were very informative and well-received by my students.

Adopt Ed is such a wonderful program! We took a field trip to the center and had a great time. We learned a lot about social work and the adoption process!

I love using AdoptED curriculum with my child development high school students! It’s very engaging and realistic. I love how the students receive a certificate at the end of both courses! I’m hoping they come out with more resources! Definitely recommend using their products!
