Shipped from Auburn, WA to Fort Wort, TX. Signing up, drop off, pick up were painless. Getting dropped back off when you want it needs to be scheduled well in advance. I thought we only needed to request 48 hours in advance. Their re-delivery team was backlogged a little over a week. Driver didn't place it where I wanted and it took a lot longer to unload due to distance from the apartment's garage.

If I can help it, I will never use another moving solution other than having someone move all my stuff themselves (instead of me). However, moving somewhat locally with a small gap in time before the move in date, packing and storing with PODS was the best way to go. I'd highly recommend to anyone.

Communication sucked. Billing was hard to understand. Our stuff was all jumbled inside the container. Outside of the container had damage on it from the move that wasn't there when we first loaded our stuff into it. The chat option was nice, people were friendly and fast in responding, just didn't make things as clear as I would have liked.

We never got our POD and are now scrambling to figure out something else at the last minute. Our delivery was officially canceled at 8:30 am yesterday (minutes after we spoke to our driver on the phone and he asked us where we’d like the POD positioned); we were not informed of the cancellation in any way, and could never contact our driver again after first speaking with him. Website only had a boiler plate warning about possible delays due to weather; wouldn’t have applied in our case because it was sunny in our area all day. When we called at 10:30 to figure out where our POD was, we were put on hold and called back in the early afternoon. We were told it was delayed and would get there by 5pm. That never happened. We called and waited on hold again for nearly an hour, starting around 5pm.Eventually found out the delivery had been cancelled that morning because the driver didn’t like the look of our driveway, and that there was no way at that point to get something else arranged within our timeframe. It took us nearly 12 hours to hunt this information down after the fact. No one from PODS ever reached out to us proactively. We didn’t even get an automated message informing us of the cancellation.I would never trust PODS for anything again after this experience. They are woefully disorganized, can’t be bother to do the bare minimum to accommodate customers, and the drivers seem to have no accountability.UPDATE: We went with UHAUL and they were able to fit us in first thing next day because of our situation. Customer service didn’t keep us waiting for longer than a few minutes. UHAUL also had no trouble scaling the driveway that was allegedly unworkable according to PODS, and the total looks like it’s going to be a little less than PODS as well. Explore your options.

We were having new floors installed in the entire house, and the pod in the driveway was a game changer. Easy to order and set up and pay online, then when completed, easy to schedule pick up. Highly recommend!

Bad experience with customer service. We never received our POD. Not even a call. Was told the manager marked the POD as delivered. I'm assuming so it won't ding his service schedule. We cancelled our order. Have yet to receive a refund. Now we are scrambling to figure something else out. Do not use PODS in DFW area. The manager there is incompetent. Use Uhaul UBOX instead.

Worse experience ever! I ordered a 16' container to be delivered between 845am and 1145am. It's 2 p.m., and no one has shown up or even had the courtesy of calling me. I called customer service, and that was a joke. I spent hours on hold, and all they told me that they were trying to get with the facility manager. I hired movers to help and no container. They didn't know what was going on. I even went to their local facility, and the door was locked. Go figure! If there was a way to give no stars, I would, but 1 star is the lowest... Do not use this company.

If you don't want your stuff and have nobody to call this is your place. I went with them because of their name and it was a complete nightmare.1. Didn't drop off half of our containers2. Then picked up one of our containers that was still full and not scheduled to be picked for another 4 days.3. Still waiting on a container they didn't deliver. They say they can get it there in a week.

This was my first time to rent PODS. I rented three, sixteen-foot PODS. This company didn't pick up and drop off my containers at the time I was promised. I had to pay the moving company more money to come back out the following day. It sounds like this company has internal issues. Please, be careful it costed me a lot more money than getting a full service moving company.

UPDATE: they’re still trying to charge usTLDR: this company lies. Their employees don’t know what they’re taking about and make empty promises. The company deals with this by holding money hostage and placing you on 3 hour holds.——I ordered a pods for some storage of windows. I spoke with the movers in the phone and explicitly detailed the importance of having the container placed in my grass. They insisted this was possible. I told them it couldn’t be on my street OR driveway because we had a dumpster in the drive and the street is narrow.They showed up and said that they couldn’t put it on grass. I tried to refuse delivery but they were insistent on dropping it due to their scheduled route and promised a refund. I accepted the order, HUGE MISTAKE.It has been several months and phone calls later promising a refund. we have not received any money, so we disputed the charge. They called our CC company stating that the order was delivered and they will not be issuing a refund.

Using PODS to move out of state was an extremely positive experience. From start to finish, they did everything promised, were timely and courteous, and below the costs of other movers. I've already recommended them to friends and family.

Never will use them again. No one has come to pick up my pod for three days now and getting hold of customer service is impossible. Said that the pod was picked up but I’m looking right at it I told the person on the computer because I couldn’t get hold of a real person on the phone. Emailed twice the customer support email and have not gotten anything back from them. Horrible customer service.

Very convenient, amazing to watch delivery and removal. We had trimmed our trees both times but at the removal of the pod, a limb was torn off. Driver apologized, I didn't mind really but was going to ask Pods to reimburse me for cutting up and removal but my neighbors volunteered to cut it for firewood so it all worked out. Lucky to have such kind neighbors!

I pushed the first star hesitantly. I think you have to to in order to leave a review. I don't want to leave even one star. The PODS MOVING AND STORAGE company is a rip off. They will bring a container even if you have not paid them the initial fee. I know this because it happened to me. One day I came home to see two PODs in my driveway although I knew they did not receive my initial payment yet. Well my son and his friends had started moving things into one of them not knowing the situation. Now the reason I had not paid them is because I had contacted another container moving company ( MODS ) who had given me a better rate and I had decided that I would go with them instead. I had not called or went online to cancel with PODS yet but it did say they would not deliver without paymentwas received. Well since my son and his friends had the PODs container half full I went ahead and paid for the service ( bad choice) to allow them to finish packing it so we could complete our move. About a couple of days later I arrived at home to see the PODS container was no longer were it was before I left for work. I wondered where could it be because I knew I had schedule for a pick up when we had completed packing them for the weekend. I knew no one called in my family because I'm the person in the family who was handling the matter. Long story short PODS had come to remove the two containers without letting me know they would. I had a scheduled pick up for the containers for following weekend so why they had come to pick them up earlier confused me. Once I contacted the PODs company they told me they were not sure why the containers were picked up and that they were unsure about where they were. I was told the department I was to talk to was closed because it was after 5pm so I had to call back the next day. I did call the following Monday to be told that the PODS were picked up because I had scheduled it. I told them I had not scheduled a pickup until the weekend. We had not even finished completely packing one of the PODS. When I told them this they seem to be unconcerned and just told me the amount to have them placed back at our home. Well I finally had to make arrangements with another company (MODS) to finish our move. Everything went very smooth with the new company (MODS) and I really regretted not using them in the first place. DO NOT USE PODS MOVING AND STORAGE they are CON ARTIST. I will never be able to explain the hell of events it took to even get our propery delivered to our new home. After everything was settled and over I looked back and saw I had been scammed because I hadwound up paying PODS moving and storage $1024.33 for one months of storage and one container 1/4 ways full. I was going to sue PODs but later decided I would just put my time forth helping to ensure this doesn't happen to any others and that's why your getting this information.
