Great location and very good food! HOWEVER, you must valet park at an extra 28.00 per day + tip that is never mentioned. It's a pain to not have personal access to your vehicle! Also the hotel is very LOUD! They do provide earplugs which were helpful.

I guess we should have known when we saw the ear plugs on the nightstand!! Constant traffic & construction noise morning/noon & night. Note to hotel: please make people aware of this before booking. On the positive the room was clean and the room and communal areas were atmospheric, the location was great. No parking on site. Valet parking $20. No breakfast on site (shocking considering the room price, we went to The Biscuit bar). An experience of sorts.Noteworthy details: Very noisy if allocated a room on street.

Understand this is an old hotel with dated fixtures and bathrooms. You stay for the experience and it was fantastic. Your right on main Street with all the restaurants and tourists stuff.

The shower curtain goes all the way around old timey tub. So it or the liner touches you when you are taking your shower. Also there is no place to put your soap or shampoo except on floor of small tub. The saddles for bar stools are super uncomfortable. Location was great to do tourist stuff. Ribeyes were good. But sides were blah.

Tops, the room is great, exactly what I wanted from this whole experience. Not luxury but classic, clean and comfortable. Great location, friendly staff, will be my go to on my next trip through the area.

We really loved the hotel. Very cool historical place with lots of character and charm. Our room was perfect and the people were helpful and friendly. It's in a perfect location for everything. We will definitely be coming back.Something to address would be the front dest staff. unprofessional casual clothing. Distinctly different from the staff on the floor.Rooms: Very cool roomsWalkability: Walk out the front doors and your right in the middle of everything.

We went here during labor day weekend and it was really busy. checking in was really smooth and the staff were really friendly. The hotel has alot of history. The location is amazing. My only con is the noise. You can easily hear people from the adjacent rooms. Also theres a bar across the street of the hotel where drunk patrons are really noisy. Other than that i would definitely recommend the hotel.

This is our 2nd time staying here (1st time on a getaway w my husband, before the kiddo & last night w/ our 3 yr old as we were passing through from out of state).1st time I can't remember the room but it faced Main Street - nothing really odd but felt like being watched. And the elevator door would open and close so we couldn't get on (so we took the stairs down). This trip, we got a room on the 2nd floor facing the Exchange. Our son thought it was so cool. Room was great and great team working. Even facing the street during Sunday night of Labor Day Weekend - wasn't bad at all. However, (here comes the "haunted" part) my husband got up in the middle of the night sick to his stomach for awhile, out of nowhere, and the room got randomly colder than we set the thermostat for. (He felt better later and the room settled after a few minutes). But when we went to leave, we got on the elevator, the door was closing bit then slammed to a stop and opened back up. My 3 yr old then said "byeeee, see you later!"...no one else was on the elevator or nearby. ? door then closed and everything went normal. Glitch in the elevator?? Or prior tenant?? We'll never know but I'll always come back! The history is neat.Nearby activities: It's the stockyards! Lots to doWalkability: Can waln everywhereFood & drinks: Lots of options, just steps away

Staff and location are amazing but this place needs some love. The electrical outlets are as old as the building and nothing stays in them. Towels are old and you only get 1 per person. We have holes and exposed pipes in the shower ceiling. Decor downstairs is nice and bed is comfortable for a few nights. Not the best and not the worst. Attached restaurant was good. New owners of this hotel need to make a few updates for sure.Walkability: Amazing location. Never need the car while visiting all the local bars, stores, and restaurants.

This place has been in Fort Worth for many years. When I grew up, it was something of a dump, though colorful. Now that I live in NYC but make regular visits, I’ve had occasion to try a number of the local hostels. While not grand, this is the most comfortable place in the city. Service is gracious in all respects. Housekeeping is truly superb, especially compared to more expensive hotels downtown where one must call repeatedly before they show up.

This one of the best hotels in the Ft. Worth Stock Exchange Yards. It’s close to everything! The hotel is right on the main exchange road. Fine Dining and wonderful attractions. Very Safe location and courtesy officers are everywhere to help out. You won’t be disappointed. Another must visit if you’re in the DFW Area.

After staying here for two nights, I felt compelled to leave a review for others looking to book an informed stay.Let's start with the positives:- The man checking us in was humorous, helpful, and made us feel at home. The rest of the staff was friendly and would often greet us when passing by.- The location is the main reason to stay here in my opinion. Fun and activities are in abundance right outside the hotel doors. The White Elephant is right across the street and is a great place to grab a drink and listen to some live music.- The hotel itself is a great piece of history and is something to stop and admire. Anything from the building itself, to the carpet (a pattern including Texas long horns).Okay, now for the not so great parts:- The WiFi in our room was completely unusable. As a software engineer wanting to get some work done, I had to use my phone's hotspot to get on the internet. Results may vary throughout the building.- Some of the other reviews I have read highlight the sound coming from adjacent rooms. This is nothing to dismiss and should seriously be considered if you are counting on privacy! We could hear a conversation from an adjacent room very clearly...- It may be a historical hotel, however finding a broken toilet seat was the last thing I'd expect. For the price we paid, this was disappointing to find and gave me an impression of a high cost/low-quality hotel, especially reading other reviews where quality is compromised, even in some of the most prestigious rooms. All in all, we had a fantastic visit here to the Stockyards. If you are looking to spend more time outside of your room than in, the items I mentioned are likely not a problem.

Very expensive for a really loud room with a full frontal view of an air conditioner in front of a wall. Cool place & neat feel but staff is really not into service. For the ridiculous price per night you get to work hard to figure out any information, try and get a straight story about how to get a meal from H3 (the in house steakhouse) and listen to drunk screaming people all night in between random bursting steam noises emitted by the plumbing. Just plan accordingly because you won't be sleeping.Nearby activities: Fort Worth Stockyards are fantastic - fantastic activities, food and shoppingWalkability: Stockyards are so worth a visit - very funNoteworthy details: Cool designed hotel, love the rustic details. Too bad about the service and noise.

This place is the coolest! I love the Stockyards and I thought why not stay right there. It is about the same price as the decent hotel chains right there but it is so beautiful and has a great vibe. Like staying in a hotel a hundred years ago. The only place I'd ever stay in Fort Worth.

I brought my sales team for a convention and we had a less than expected experience. The TV service did not work for 3 days. The valet parking was extremely slow to get our vehicle back from right around the corner. I waited over 40 minutes to get my truck back. There was water draining from my ceiling into my tub every few hours. The noise level in the rooms was terrible. I love the location and have stayed many times but I do not plan to stay there ever again. It was not worth the money.
