Two weeks ago I stopped by for some late night shopping and one of the employees stood out above the rest he was working hard and even though he was occupied doing quality assurance he took time out of his day to help me. His name was Jose ! He makes shopping at winco alot easier and knows where everything is by heart!

I wanted to shake things up with shopping this week so I decided to go to Winco for the second time since moving here. The first time was over a year ago and the only thing I remember was that they didn’t give me bags at the end and I was totally unprepared for that so maybe that’s why I haven’t been back. (Side note—if you see a customer putting their groceries back in their cart can by can, it may be best to say something because they probably aren’t aware that you are supposed to bag your own groceries.) Anyway, I decided to read some reviews before going, mostly because I was curious—I was going to go either way. There were such mixed experiences that I was eager to have my own.
The produce seemed good. I’m no expert but I liked what I found. I didn’t have to pick through it too much. Seemed fresh for the most part. The bulk section is cool. Some of the things are more relevant to me than others but it’s a nice feature. I kept getting lost in the store but I’ll learn my way around. The prices were great.
As far as the employees, I was treated very well. Every employee I came in contact with was kind and friendly. I would walk past someone and they would ask how I was doing. It really goes a long way. Maybe they have intentionally stepped up their game because of negative reviews, maybe they’ve fired people, maybe there’s been turnover, or maybe it’s just the morning staff. Ron was especially helpful and kind. He noticed I was looking for something specific and offered to help. He walked me over to where the fresh basil was and when we discovered it wasn’t looking too hot he went to the back and got some more. Fathima was at the register when I checked out. She was also super warm and kind. Once I paid she abandoned me though and I had to walk back and forth getting my items from the conveyer belt to the bags by myself which wasn’t ideal.
Overall I had an enjoyable experience and I will most likely be back.

The manager in bulk Marlen very rude . I bought a bag of mixed nuts . I wanted unsalted which I thought I had until I got home . Went back to the store to exchange them , and to see if I had made a mistake or if the store had them in the wrong place . After speaking with Marlene she came out and said I’m not giving u a refund with a very nasty attitude , I was like ma’am I didn’t want a refund I just wanted to exchange them . That made me feel so uncomfortable . Because not once did I mention a refund !

i bought potatoes from Win-Co , my four biggest ones all has rotten marks on them after the bag claimed that every single potato was clean and healthy. Now i have wasted good money on bad food. Thank you Win-Co

Didn't go in- big sign by the front entrance that they don't take credit cards. In this day and age?!? Sorry, I haven't written a check in a decade, so I went down the street to Kroger instead.
