It takes an exceptionally strong effort to achieve a 1 star review. However, JCPenney never ceases to amaze with their lack of customer service and conflict resolution. I placed an online order for 2 different items, 1 of which to pick up in store and 1 that would be delivered. I showed up to pick up my item at the stated time, only to wait in line (3 people ahead of me) over an hour. Then find out while I'm in line (3 and a half hours after my order was placed) that it was canceled because they did not in fact have the item in stock. Then I asked to cancel the other half of my order, and was basically told "you can't cancel anything past 30 minutes from the time you ordered." I responded, well you (JCPenney) canceled my order 3 hours after I placed it. Round and round we go... Long story short, I will NEVER EVER go to JCPenney in my life. I will be getting my money back, and will make my purchases from Amazon instead. JCPenney is absolute trash and have forever lost my business. (Not that I went there often anyways).

I spent 70 dollars on a pair of dress shoes and they gave me 2 different shoes 1 of each and the lines to pay are too long

Ehhh. Clothes are cheap and overpriced. Most of the jewelry in the case is lab grown or synthetic. Shoes are overpriced and didn't have the size I needed.Use to be if you need good Church Clothes or a Suit or Fancy dress you went to JCPENNEY. Now, you can get better quality stuff from Walmart. If you can find a staff member, they either act like they don't understand English or they don't know what you're looking for in the store.

Friendly, albeit a little pushy, staff. They really pushed their credit card when my wife and I were there at the checkout counter. The JCP has a large selection of clothing and items for the home.

August 16,2023UPDATE: According to management the AC has now been repaired. Great example from leadership on creating a sense of urgency on this matter. Thank you! I will change my review to 5 stars.August 11, 2023The associates have a great attitude and are doing an amazing job. I don’t know that many people that can work indoors, and not breathe at the same time. I was told the AC has been broken there for weeks. It is 100 degrees outside at 9pm. I’m assuming it is still broken during the day when it’s 107 degrees, and there is no relief walking indoors to work. There is one standing fan in the corner of the returns/pick up counter. I was on the first floor-it’s also broken on the second floor. Heat rises still, right? People were fanning themselves. I was doing the manikin challenge to keep from getting my heart rate up and getting hotter.This is EXTREME heat. Do you want to have staff in a staff shortage? Do you want the staff you have, to continue working for you? They have to be alive to do that. Invest on the front end and keep them alive. This is crazy.Get a sense of urgency with that AC. This is one of most stagnant summers in long time. I bet there is a little sentence in an OSHA workplace clause somewhere that covers many potential risks in this situation. Has anyone reached out to the CEO or someone that is cool enough to help? Literally and figuratively. I will add on 4 stars, when you fix the AC. No one I know, is in a good enough mood when they are hot and can’t breathe, to write a good review. Please advise.

JC Penny, has a new branding of clothing collections. from kuds needs, apparels to intimates, linens, towels and houseware. Every location is refreshing to the eyes. There is name brand & stylish attired gems I found at the Frisco, and Arlington locations. Also, on the JC Penny website don't forget to search "coupons". There is bound to be good deals for the entire family.

I am adding 5 stars to get the attention of management. I don't like that the staff was doing a good job, and management has not taken action on this yet. I had a big blister on my toes. There's nowhere in the mall where you can buy bandaids. I walked into JCPenney and asked this really sweet salesperson. I asked for a bandaid. She said she didn't have one but tracked down a manager and he got me several. Her name is Brenda Carlisle. Now THAT is good customer service!

I am writing this review because I was in JCPenney the other day. I was needing help and this young lady named ALEXIS was so helpful and patience with me. We definitely need more people like her in these stores. Amazing customer service keep being awesome Alexis!!!!

Horrible experience this morning with sales associate 0599, really short girl at returns desk. I returned a jacket and explained to her why I took the tags off as I was going to wear the jacket but found a better looking jacket elsewhere before I could wear it. With an attitude, she told me next time not to take the tags off. I told her did you not just hear me say why I took the tags off. Long story short, I had to tear into her because of her attitude and she was silent the whole time. Should have kept her mouth shut from the beginning. Told her it was too early in the day for an attitude and to go home. Reported her to store manager as well. After speaking with him, it was obvious she's been this way with other customers. Unfortunately JCP won't be able to provide more training to associate 0599. Can't train someone with a filthy attitude.

The cashier took so long to check me out. She was just slowly ringing things up while talking to her coworkers the whole time. The only time she ever spoke to me was to ask if I wanted to sign up for the credit card. HELL NO! After today I am never coming back here. I see why people rather shop online.I cannot and will not go through this again. ?

Terrible management that make snarky back handed comments to loyal customers and do absolutey nothing, zero! to fix the issue at hand. Why fix when you can deflect??!Today the assistent store manager informed me that it was my fault 10k bracelets had diamonds missing and were damaged while sitting in the jewelry counter. Also I was “the” only one that ever...EVER had issues with clasps even though half the online reviews and returns are a result of this exact issue.last week he told me not to buy jewelry from Pennys period... Great customer service and sales tactics. Bought my mom her first diamonds at 70 years old here, now due to John that memory has been ruined. Will stand off in the distance creeply watch you look at the display case. Not only has this turned my experience from loving Pennys and even having some sales personal phone numbers to now I the thought of that location and store name disgusts me. Lazy, uninformed, and clearly despising your job is not a good mix for management and even worse for the second in line.I have 2 pieces that I've been waiting about 3 weeks for yet to come in the mail (About $1100) in sales which I will be returning the second they come in and will never set foot in this store again

I wish there was no star option for review, horrible experience when tried to return a blazer which they forgot to remove the security ink tag from it when I bought it, it was valued for 160 or so, and I got it around 80 something, but tried to return it (after 60 day return policy, because I took as a gift for someone and was on international travel) and immediately came back to return hoping atleast they would consider the return and atleast provide me gift balance, since it was useless to me as they didn't remove ink tag from it. They said I would get some 15/20$ for the return, I understand that I was 10/15 days past return date expiration (delayed due to international travel), but here store is also at fault equally as they didn't remove ink tag from it. But they didn't feel responsible or tried to provide good customer service or satisfaction

I spent 30 minutes in the store searching for someone to assist me with a purchase. Finally someone in "fine jewelry" paged a manager who proceeded to tell me no help was available because "people are on vacation". Eventually I spoke with the assistant store manager who offered reasonable explanations...corporate allows X number hours for staffing, stats show busy times in afternoon so staffing hours used during those hours. OK and great! I understood and truly appreciated her explanation. Honesty goes a looong way in customer satisfaction. Nonetheless, this type of stuff is the reason Amazon is taking over so much retail. I can order today - will be here in 1-2 days. Easy returns. No going g to malls, no traffic. Watch out, JC Penny.

The store is nice, but was there Saturday night and the 2nd floor cashier's manager is RUDE. We had a lot of clothes to buy and we got there to pay around 8:50 pm. She said next time they won't take us cause the store was about to close and the cashiers needed to stay extra and was not fair for them. She needs customer service training ASAP. Apparently she does not know who the customer is. She kept saying "we love you but you need to come and pay earlier" awful. I will not pay again at the second floor never again.
