113 S Main St, GodleyThe entire experience completely exceeded my expectations. We parked out back on a caliche parking lot reminiscent of my childhood experiences visiting Lockhart, Texas. The whole town (Godley) seemed to have a small town pride by the cleanliness exhibited from the roads to the businesses. The restaurant itself was humble, charming, and quite inviting. The staff was very friendly, courteous and most hospitable. My wife ordered from the menu a grilled porkchop that was cooked to a homestyle perfection smothered in a rich onion gravy, the portion was so large that she could only enjoy half of it, which bodes well for me - I'll have the leftovers later. I enjoyed the all you can eat buffet, and (sinfully) gorged myself on the fresh hot catfish. Our beverages never emptied, and the waitstaff assures on a regular basis that everyone in your party is doing well. The coup de gras was the homemade desserts offered. If you do decide to try out Chisholm's - go hungry, and bring your taste buds. None of you will be disappointed. The prices were honestly on the higher side of modest, but you get what you pay for. Cheap food isn't usually good, and good food usually isn't cheap.
