I have run into several problems while renting a storage unit here. I will list them chronologically.TRUCK RENTALI rented a truck from this facility over a year ago. I was given the keys and told to follow along on a website and sign off on the condition of the truck. When looking at the truck, I noticed some discrepancies. This was difficult due to looking at "current condition" photos on my phone during a sunny Texas day outside. Fortunately, I was able to tell that the photos on the "current condition" via the website was a completely different truck. I went back inside and asked about this and was told, *shrug*, just take photos then. I did so and submitted them on the website and took possession of the truck. The truck was a little dirty, but otherwise ran well and did the job. Besides the administration aspect from this particular facility, truck rental was fine.When I was finished with the truck, I parked it in the return spot for check ins and turned in the keys, no muss no fuss.UBOX RENTALI rented a UBox online to have it shipped to another state with a family members belongings when they moved. When I arrived at this facility, I had to load a few things into a storage unit I rented (see next section for comments on storage unit). Once I was completed with this, I went to the directed Ubox. It did not have the plastic cover on it, just a bare wooden box, and I found that the top was sagging with water on top and was dripping inside. I went inside and asked if they had a remedy for the situation.They offered to switch me to another Ubox, the one they currently were using to store items for the facility, but that was the only option today due to them not having any more Uboxes. I accepted, as I would not have time to come another day.After they retrieved it from one of the outdoor large storage units and emptied it of their things, which didn't take very long, I was able to start loading my family members things. I confirmed with the staff that it was known that I was switched to another Ubox and they said yes. I finished loading the Ubox and then took photos of the Ubox with the Ubox number visible just in case. They then stored the Ubox pending shipping.A couple days later, I checked on my Uhaul account online and noted that the Ubox number was wrong. It still showed the Ubox number for the waterlogged ruined one, not the one I was switched to. I called Uhaul support and after 2 hours of being passed around, I was given to a very nice lady who helped me.It took another 2 hours in order for things to be fixed in the system. She had to basically end my Ubox rental and create a new rental agreement for me in order for it to work. Comically, it showed that I had rented it in the year 1900, so some of the tools around it didn't work, but it was listed correctly.The Ubox was dropped off on the delivery date without too much issue, only some confusing phone tag due to me renting the Ubox and the designated pick person being my family member. And lastly it was picked up without problem.STORAGE UNITWhen I moved in to my storage unit, I was assigned and unit. When I went to access the unit for the first time, there was a red store lock on it already. I went back down and requested assistance, when we returned up to my unit, there were already a bunch of furniture in it. I was told that I was going to use another unit nearby. My friends and I moved all of the stuff into it, then was told never mind, I would be using the original storage unit. We then had to move everything out of the unit we had just filled, and into the original unit after the staff emptied it out and moped the floor.Sometime around July/August of '23, the elevator was broken. As of move out date over 6 months later, it is still broken. Seeing as my storage unit is on the 3rd floor and I had heavy appliances in it like a washer, you can imagine how frustrating that is.CONCLUSIONI doubt I will ever rent anything from this particular U-haul again due to my poor experiences. They weren't rude though.

Reservations mean nothing at this location. I reserved an appliance dolly and a truck so I could move a refrigerator. The truck was available, but the appliance dolly was not. I was told "the system allowed reservations to be made for equipment they didn't have." I called another location that had an appliance dolly, but they would not hold it for me since it had been reserved. I was ultimately able to locate an appliance dolly at another location on my own.

I am not in the habit of renting moving trucks so I did not understand that I had to pay for my milage and return the truck back with the same amount of gas that I had when I rented it.When I brought the truck back with more gas than I got when I rented and I brought the truck back early ( I had it less than 4 hours, There was no compensation for that. ( I was told that because it was a Saturday morning (before 9 a.m.) that I would have to use the app to return it or if I brought it back Sunday at the time they opened (10 a.m.) I would be charged another day.(I thought that was different)Other than the issues I mentioned it was as a okay experience

Truck was not safe to drive, they gave me a truck in terrible condition with ABS light on. Then they switched me to an even worse truck with a check engine light on. The steering was so loose I couldn't keep the truck in the lane on the highway. Then when trying to drive the speed limit on the highway the entire front of the truck would start shaking so hard you would think the truck was going to shake apart.

The employees were super accommodating, yet the billing system was deceptive in OVERCHARGING for mileage not driven and a discount not applied!!! They didn’t uphold their 24 hour rental policy!!

I was placed in old truck that was having issues with the pickup as if there was transmissions issues with the truck. I would like to recommend the advisor tell clients they will receive a text message to inspect the truck before leaving. I also want thank Derek for going above and beyond for switching me into another truck after leaving and the truck started having issues. Thank you

First of all, I didn't expect to be charged an additional $50 which messed up my living situation. I paid extra for coverage but there was no incidents, accidents or damage on my part. I called when I realized I wouldn't have the truck back by 1pm and the attendant said that was fine, even if I came after hours. He said nothing about being charged anything extra. I also put $16 of gas in the tank which put the meter above where it was when I picked up the truck. The tank was not full but was 3/4 full. AND I requested the truck almost a week early with a dolly and 10 blankets -- but upon pickup, the attendant said they had no more blankets. I asked if he had anything at all to protect my fragile furniture, he came back with one blue blanket (not felt like the photo on the site) and said I could keep it.

Terrible experience, did self pick up. Huge hassle to get the truck, app didn’t work correctly, took me 45 mins to pick up the truck. Then we find that the appliance dolly, utility dolly and furniture pad that we ordered were not in the truck. This delayed my move as I could not move the items I need to move without the dolly. Called the store manager the next day and she was no help at all very rude. She did not seem to care that I was completely inconvenienced.She said that since I picked after hours I could not get my dollys since they were not open. So, why would I be allowed to purchase the dollys on my order if it’s not an option. Was told a member of ur management team would call me. I have yet to get a call or email from them. These issue delayed my move by hours and caused me to not be able to get out of my house on time. Very poor customer service and complicated process. Management and staff are rude and unhelpful

They are very friendly and customer service oriented. Very organized and well kept. Very streamed lined which made check in and check out quickly and smoothly.

I tried to rent a truck from this U-Haul. They would not rent it to me because my daughter owed them money on her account. I didn't know she had an account. What does her account have to do with my account? I was told by their E-Alert department that they attached our accounts. Why would you attach my account to her account? The only reason I can see you attaching my account to her account is to try to strong arm me into paying her debt. This is an absolutely TERRIBLE business practice.

If I could have given zero stars I would have. This location has no customer service skills whatsoever . They talk over you and even while you’re speaking with someone there another worker will just come and start a conversation with the person that’s helping the customer. The person that cut me off did it in a way to start an argument. Their phone etiquette is extremely poor, I called them to check on their equipment and I was immediately placed on hold. I was left on hold for 45 minutes, which was cutting into my truck rental time. The truck felt like it was going to break down, thank goodness it didn’t. Never again will I use this location. I would hate to believe that Uhaul has gone down in this way.

The customer service at this U-Haul location is unmatched. Moving can be extremely stressful and overwhelming but everyone here was kind, welcoming and ready to provide solutions to their customers. Thank you so much! I truly appreciated the amazing customer service I received.

Very rude, I was placed on hold over 10 mins hung up called back and the agent hung up… This is crazy and I have yet to reach an agent. They normally have such great service! What happen??

I booked a tow trailer hitch installation. The corporate representative told me on the phone that this location had the parts I needed installed on hand (virtually no one else did.) I made a reservation three days in advance, then drove several HOURS to get to this location, only to find out after handing my key in that they did not have the parts I needed. They're friendly (+1 star) and I'm not sure if this is corporate's fault or their own (+1 star for benefit of the doubt) but the bottom line is, do NOT assume that just because you have reserved equipment for a specified time and place that U-Haul actually cares about honoring it. If they have 100 reservations and are able to satisfy 80 of them, that's a good day for them, even if 20 customers leave empty handed or have to come back later. They don't need to care because there aren't many convenient or affordable alternatives, yet. Just keep that in mind when you are booking.
