“Ashley's concept for a pop-up traveling (and online) bookstore is so awesome. I love the idea that she can expose a variety of people and communities to her mission by doing this. She is truly driven by passion, as she promotes black female authors and thought leaders through signed copies of their work. Her current goals of opening a brick and mortar location, workshops for young writers and donating books to kids are all super important parts of what she does and who she is. She is someone to connect with and keep an eye on. Her business is also black female Veteran-owned!”
“I hadn't been through Salado in years, and I wanted to show my children this quaint little town. My daughter saw the sign for Fletcher's Books & Antiques and we HAD to stop. Oh, what a haven this was for her! She picked up 4 classics; Phantom of the Opera, Madam Bovary, Northanger Abbey, and Wuthering Heights. My 13 year old bookworm said this place was "literally" amazing!”
“I had a wonderful cashier and when I needed help in rugs she called someone and they were back there to help me fast and helped me bring it up front to check out and stayed up there to help me put it in my car. It can get messy sometimes but there are a lot of people and I always see the staff and managers going around cleaning up. My only gripe is that military discount is only one day a month, and it should be everyday because our military doesnt serve just one day a month.”
“The bookstore manager, Jackie, is most kind and professional as well as the staff she manages. I’ve been using this bookstore for about six or so semesters now and have never been treated with anything less than respect and kindness.”
