“I just wanted to say that I LOVE this orange theory! The staff here are amazing (coaches Timeka, Lacey and Taylor as well as all of the front desk staff!) I always feel so welcomed, the music is always amazing and the workouts are always awesome, fun, and challenging. I have been to few other OTFs in the past but this one is my favorite! I look forward to every single workout!”
“Honestly, one of the best gyms I've been to. Most important reason is people are actually there to workout, not socialize and waste time on equipment someone else could be using.”
“Extremely family friendly facility. Facility is clean and staff is respectful and incredibly helpful and kind. Our entire family is involved in the gym/classes and it's completely worth it. Huge added bonus...they have a homeschool class that all my kids can attend. I've been searching for a gym that has classes while I can workout. Highly recommend.”

“I can honestly say that Twin Wolves MMA is the best Mixed Martial Arts gym in the area. The professors are world class athletes that teach with the same passion that got them to where they are now! Especially the kids BJJ class. The instructors are patient in their teaching approach and really connect with their students. Really sharing their love for the sport. The ownership is top notch as well as the staff. They are a fitness gym equipped with clean equipment and a nice sauna. It's a great place that will treat you like family as soon as you walk through the doors. 10/10 highly recommend!”

“As much as I want to say bad things to dissuade prospective new members so I can continue to monopolize the half rack, I'll be honest instead. I have access to all the major chain gyms and tootsie roll buffets in the area but apparently went to Anytime Fitness 386 times in the last year, and at least half of those were this one. So I probably owe it a nice review.
This is why it's my favorite place to train:
- Equipment selection and ratio: it's well-planned for actual use, not just to look attractive to prospective clients. There aren't 89 empty bikes and 17 bros waiting for the only pec deck.
- Free weights: specifically, it's rare to have to wait for a rack, dumbbells or cables. There's a power rack, half rack, squat stand, 3 barbells, hex bar, EZ bar, landmine, fixed dumbbells with extras in the 5-30 lb range, and 4 adjustable cables + fixed high and low. Some of the adjustable benches are sketchy, but there's a reliable flat bench and usually 1-3 non-wobbly adjustable ones. (I also don't see people waiting for weight or cardio machines, and there's open space.)
- Priorities: In the last year they added a hack squat, fixed some broken equipment, and didn't replace stuff that is old/ugly but still functional, which to me is the right move on all 3 counts.
- Noise level: You can usually hear your audiobook or podcast... the speakers are sometimes weirdly loud for this atmosphere, but it's still quieter than TruFit, or Crunch during a class.
- Access to other gyms while travelling: AF is everywhere (Collier's has everything else, not this).
And why you might not love it as much:
- If a pristine environment is what makes you happy. I'd rather deal with a bit of dust in the corner than feel like I'm in the way of the constant cleaning it takes to keep a 24-hour gym spotless, and I don't care if the plates are pretty. AF Temple is cleaner, and AF Salado is newer.
- If you need specialty equipment. This is a small gym in a small city; it's not going to have a reverse hyper or pendulum squat. I go to Crunch Temple or Killeen for the GHD and belt squat.
- If classes/group fitness are what motivates you. I do wish the phantom Tuesday yoga class that was advertised here for a while actually happened because then I might actually stretch.
TL;DR- if you're looking for a convenient unpretentious chain gym in this area, this is it. If you're looking for something else, it probably isn't.”
“I absolutely love it here. My husband and I moved here two months ago and we immediately joined the gym. Since joining, we’ve seen major gains, the atmosphere is like a family, and the coaches are truly phenomenal.”
