The black man working the front desk (shaved sides but braided on top) is honestly one of the best employees i have ever seen working at usps. He does everything he can to help the customers. I have been going here for 5 years and while sometimes the line gets long, i was able to watch him interact with everyone many times. Everyone knows that working for the post office prob isnt the best, but hes always professional and kind. Sorry i dont know your name man, but you are a true asset. Keep being you.

Passport Service - Made an appointment online for completing/sending the passport application and have picture taken. Was in and our in 15 minutes and they know what they are doing and are super friendly! Xavier handled my application/picture and was awesome.
Definitely will make the drive out here again for anything like this in the future!

On June 20, 2025, I arrived at Hockley Post Office and was immediately greeted by Xavier who was helping another customer. He was able to continue to help that customer and also quickly give me paperwork I needed for my transaction. As I started to fill out my paperwork, Tarvon finished the task he was working on and came over to assist me as Xavier finished up with his customer. Both these employees were exceptional in their understanding of providing quality customer service. Additionally, Tarvon told me how I could use a slightly different type of service and save $10 in the process. As a person who supervised over 150 staff before I retired, I recognize exemplary customer service when I see it. These two employees were outstanding in their service. Kudos to them!

I had an appointment at this location and was helped by Tricia, she was absolutely wonderful. Tricia was professional, friendly, and made the whole process quick and easy. She explained everything clearly and made sure I had everything I needed. It was the smoothest experiences I’ve had at USPS. Thank you, Tricia, for your great service and positive attitude!

Had an appointment for government paperwork but forgot a couple of documents. Thankfully, Trisha was accommodating and gave us the chance to go back home and retrieve them. These appointments are booked months in advance, so we truly appreciate her kindness and flexibility!

I came there early for a walk in passport, and the gentleman there Xavier took care of two of my kids process right away just before the rush activity. He didn’t have to since walk ins start at 9 but I apreciated the gesture. If you try that just make sure all your paperwork is ready. Copies, photos, checks, etc.

I took my daughter to get her passport here, it took less than 15 min to do all, even with the 5 minutes we had to wait, and everybody was very friendly, nothing like the other 2 postal offices I had to been before in cypress where they treated you horribly and the waiting time it’s always ridiculous

I was there to apply passport as walk-ins because the website scheduling function is glitchy. I was there around 8:35AM and there was a line outside the inner door. We waited until 9:15am and the staff noticed I missed the back picture of an ID. He was nice enough to hold it for me and take care of other people when I went home to get the copy. Friendly staff. The wait may be long on mailing because they don't have a package deposit compartment. With only 2 counters they are as quick as they can be.

SHOUT OUT TO KEITH. Im going to keep it real Post office do not always have the best customer service but this location has one of the best employees ever he stands out from the rest his name is Keith, what a guy. He is helpful, respectful, and clearly hard working. This guy went out of his way to make sure i was a happy client and I most certainly am.
