agora is a classic, greek-styled cafe well known amongst students. i can only give input on this cafe around its evening hours, since that’s usually when i go (open until 2am). all of my local university friends and i always turn to agora whenever we need a chill place to study. agora is typically full of people who are working/studying, from top to bottom and inside out! usually the baristas are very nice and the drinks are pretty decent. i wouldn’t really recommend going to agora for anything casual because the ambience is so full of studying/working, so it may feel a little awkward to just go for a drink (IMO). ALSO the stairs leading up the the second floor are SUPER STEEP so watch your step!!!!! other than that, this place is great :)Parking: agora has a parking lot right behind their building that you can only enter through a really small alley. it’s easy to miss. you can get to the parking lot by walking out the back door of the cafe if this is your first time hearing about it! i was shocked when i walked out the back and saw a parking lot. if this doesn’t suit you, there is typical westheimer street parking (can be busy depending on time & day)

Fav spot in Houston. My fav thing about it is the design. Feels cozy, comfy, warm, surreal, and well thought out

One of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had at a coffee shop. I go there on a Saturday afternoon for a refreshing iced coffee after a morning of strolling around and shopping in the area. I get an iced white moca that cost nearly $6. Kind of pricey for a small iced coffee but it's whatevs (inflation). After taking a few sips from the drink I decided to go to the restroom real quick. Nature calls. I leave my drink on one of the wooden shelves located just outside of the restroom doors because why would I bring my drink into a public restroom and set it down on a potentially dirty surface? I'm a guy so it only takes a few minutes to do the deed, wash my hands, and to step back outside. I was in the for maybe 5 minutes or less. I step back out and my $6 coffee is missing. A woman was luckily standing there waiting for her husband and she told me that a girl who was working behind the counter took it. I asked one of the baristas if anybody grabbed the only full iced coffee off of the shelf and she said she didn't know. She didn't even ask any of her coworkers standing nearby about my concern. She seemed very dismissive about my request. I wasn't gonna stand there a make a scene so I just left. I use to come here a lot when I was in my early 20s but it looks like this place has lost their charm. There are definitely other coffee shops nearby so I'll be taking my business elsewhere for the time being.

Some guy that had white hair and a long white beard told my friend and I very rudely at al onat closing time that we can’t bring outside food in. Mind you this was our first time there, we bought drinks from there, and we didn’t see signs so we didn’t know. There could’ve been a nicer way to say that and followed us all the way outside. It felt very unnecessary because it could’ve been a simple hey by the way we don’t allow outside food for next time and I would have totally understood.

Really cute place to get work done, drink coffee, socialize, & enjoy the sun(on the patio). Big variety of pastries, light bites, coffee, tea, & cocktails. Will be coming back and bringing all my friends to cowork!

Lots of places to study, spacious. Huge selection of drinks, coffees, teas, and snacks. Customer service is absolutely atrocious, seemingly rude and impatient. They're also unfamiliar with their menu, so it was difficult to ask questions on what they provide.

Super cute spot. That’s all they have to offer. Very rude and dismissive staff, not to mention a less than mediocre wine and coffee selection. I was about to pack up my things with 15 minutes left before closing before the owner/manager was demanding my glass and that I need to leave. On my way out I told him I felt like he was rushing me out and he proceeded to tell me I was welcome to not come back. I’ve been coming here for years to study and I don’t think I’ll be coming back thanks to his invitation. I’ve also seen the owner/manager get very verbal with other guests who have had something as simple as a plastic water bottle that was clearly empty in the pocket of their bag and demand they give it to him - it made myself and the other tables near me very uncomfortable. I get it, it’s an off premise container, but there’s no need to be yelled at and almost accosted by the owner. Cute spot, terrible management and service. Good luck.

It was ok. Although it is always full, the atmosphere is calm and if you need to work with your laptop it is highly recommended, they have a variety of desserts and coffees.
