I was expecting a replacement patio door that was delivered without being notified that the door had been dropped off.I was not asked to sign for it even though the email I recieved stated that a signature was required, when I called to inquire about it, I was told that the driver would come back to get my signature. Never happened.

Averitt Express wouldn't take responsibility for a damage wood door that was pick up from Houston and taken to California. Their reason was cause it wasn't secured enough to prevent damage when transporting. We use many freight carriers for the same kind of delivery, secure the same way on the pallet, with no issues or damage products. I can't stand a company that doesn't want take responsibility for their mistakes or at least meet you in the middle to help with the replacement of the product. Now I had to spend over $600 to resend a new door and cover freight cost, which that door was received without any issues. I won't be using Averitt anytime soon, cause they won't take any responsibility for their actions on their behalf.

Pretty much I find out they don't care about the OTR. They hold me 6 hours after they empty the trailer they have to count it. If you don't have to do it please don't go there. they would not care about your time about your route, your appointments. Please don't go there

“Lost” my package that we’ve been waiting for to be delivered for over a week. Suddenly found it. Scheduled a delivery which we had to be present to sign for. Never showed up. Called them to check the status and they said it’s “lost” and not on the trailer. So once again, we have to wait another week for them to find it. We’ve been waiting TWO weeks for one package.

Followed instructions from seller. Called to track package through AVERITT EXPRESS the BIG DELIVERY COMPANY and to be told the process, which was to be receiving a call from 3rd party delivery company on "details of the delivery". Never got the call, so I called AVERITT back just to be told the exact same thing by a different person, AND when I asked what happened to the initial call I had made to track the package, I was told no notes were added as if my 1st call never took place. STILL NO CALL, so I called AVERITT for the 3rd time and spoke to a supervisor, Jessica Lamb, and after explaining to her what's going on, she told me the 3rd party shipper had set a delivery date for the 19th of July. After telling her I never received a call to set an appointment she said the 3rd party shipper USED TO CALL AND SET UP APPOINTMENTS BUT THEY DON'T DO THAT ANYMORE, instead they just pick a date to deliver and drop packages off with no regard to the customer! I then made comment about AVERITT should do the delivery and she informed me that AVERITT DOES NOT DO ANY ACTUAL DELIVERIES ANYMORE,,, THEY USED TO,,, BUT NOT ANYMORE!!! While on hold their recordings talk about 1971 with 2 people and 3 trucks,,, 50 years later they boast about having over 9000 associates, AND CLAIM THEY ARE THE #1 RATED WHATEVER IN THE INDUSTRY,,, I ACTUALLY HEARD THE SAME CLAIM FROM A DIFFERENT SHIPPING COMPANY A FEW MONTHS BACK WHEN THEY TRIED , UNANNOUNCED, TO DROP OFF A PACKAGE THAT WAS MOSTLY PACKING TAPE HOLDING FRAGMENTS OF THE CARDBOARD TOGETHER! What a wonderful world we live in today. Everyone wants more money for doing less work and are so concerned about a PAYCHECK ON FRIDAY,AND CARE ONLY ABOUT THEMSELVES NOT GOING THROUGH SOMETHING LIKE THIS! And after 50 years in business my money says if those initial 2 people are still alive, they have so much money and are making so much more,,, they could care less about any package or any customer,,, THEY GOT THEIRS!

Terrible service. Have been playing with the delivery date for a mistake they made and had me working with the driver to install a fridge. Wouldn’t recommend this people to anyone!!!
