Poor customer service. Waited in line for 45 min to receive a car that had a overwhelming smell of cigarette and weed. I was told "all cars smell like that" they refused to switch out. Im sensiti e to smell and whwn driving the car I felt nauseous. I will not rent from AVIS again as National has been much more professional and willing to meet the needs of the customer u.like AVIS at IAH

The delivery process is very fast. You just have to make sure that they are the insurance that you really want, because they automatically release all the insurance and the payment of tolls, which unless you need to use Highway 8 a lot (Tollway 8) is not worth it. My reservation already included the necessary insurance and I inadvertently passed up personal injury insurance that I did not require.The delivery process is very easy and fast. The vehicle in good condition. I hope no invented additional charges arise as I have read.

The fees after the return of the vehicle are not clear at all. It seems that I was charged for something I did not request.

**BEWARE OF AGENT** at the Avis Preferred desk in Houston. We were assigned a fully electric vehicle which was not indicated in our profile. The woman agent was extremely rude and disrespectful. We were assigned a different vehicle in the end, however left with a rotten taste in our mouths.

Thank you for your service and attentionI traveled with a person in a wheelchair and when we returned the car they offered to take us to the airport terminal where our flight was leaving, this help for people with limited capacity is very kind on the part of Avis and its employees

Avis used to be a lot better. The cars are always dirty now and this particular car reeked of cigarettes. I will be looking at other options in the future.

While my rental from Houston was exceptional, my recent rental from LOUISVILLE, KY Muhammad Ali intl airport was THE WORST EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD WITH A RENTAL COMPANY! The staff were very unpleasant, uninformed, and barbarous in regards to professionalism. The staff on duty that night of 3/10/24 at the preferred customer between the times of 7:30 pm to 8:19 pm should have some formal re-training and/or face some consequences for their manners and actions that night.

We arrived in Houston two days early due to a rebooking. We would have taken over a car on Friday for 10 days. Now we needed a car for two more days. unbelievable, but AVIS was not (!) able to make the car available to us two days early (of course for the current rate!). No, we had to return the car after two days in order to take over the car we originally booked. So we were allowed to drive seven hours from Austin to Houston and back to swap the car. Customer service at its finest. AVIS? Never again!

Terrible experience. Car broke down. I had my special needs child in the car. Avis would not send someone to help. Had to find someone on my own to help me get the broken car back to Avis so I could return it for another one.

Rip offPrice for 21 Rage was paid one month in advance.Took over a car with lots of miles on it, worn tires and loose trim that made a lot of wind noise.Additional payment of €570 despite submission one day earlier!More than bad, never again Avis!

This is the third consecutive time as a Preferred member that I have had the same attendant at the exit gate to tell me that she could not find my reservation. This is a serious pattern of incompetence and has costed me at least 35 minutes each time. I also volunteered to show the attendant my reservation information from my personal cellular phone. She was too stubborn to look at it on each occasion. I am not sure if it there is a language barrier or a lack of literacy, but this individual need to be reassigned to a role where she better fits. If this is not a solution, then she needs to be terminated. During this rental, I noticed the long line of vehicles backed up to the alpha-numeric assignment stalls while walking to retrieve my vehicle. I realized that I had never seen the line so long. I looked over to the booth and recognized the same individual and I just shook my head in disgust. This is absurd! After retrieving my assigned vehicle during this rental, she said that she could not find my reservation within the first minute of searching. She asked me to make a u-turn and go to the Service Counter. While waiting in line at the Service Counter, I hear another customer complaining that she was sent to an assignment space where there was no vehicle. She was also upset. I thought, "Avis needs to get it together, and fast! Their customer service is headed downhill exponentially." I spent 39 minutes going through the process of securing the rental at the Service Counter and waiting in the exit line again. I get back to her, and she again stated that she cannot find my reservation. I became extremely frustrated, thinking that I should drop Avis immediately. I handed the attendant the reservation printout from the Service Counter. She still had unusual difficulty confirming my reservation. This has only been repetitive at IAH with this same attendant at the exit point. I admonish Avis Management to correct this problem expeditiously!

My experience with AVIS as a company, service and the helpfulness of their employees was excellent. But the maintenance of the vehicle I rented was inadequate. The tires were worn enough to where I experienced extensive hydroplaning over 3 different incidents over a 1700 mile trip. A large portion of those miles was at night and in the rain. Thus a situation where one has to depend on good equipment. This vehicle was not adequately equipped for 150 to 200 mile excursions in the rain and at night.
