On January 17, 2024 took my daughter’s dog, Lola, to Banfield, Fry Rd for a routine dental cleaning. Checked her in. Waited in a room. No papers were present for me to sign. They took her back. Mind you Lola was a healthy. Arrived home. At 10:00 am received a phone call from the Vet to say Lola passed. I was screaming and yelling No, No, No! I asked what happened. The Vet stated, “We hooked up Lola wrong to the anesthesia machine.” I was mad! My daughter was mad. Thankful that the District Manager is working with my daughter.

Worst customer service !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!The Hospital opened at 9:00 AM, at 9:30 there was still no answer of the phone. I kept call at 9:42 someone finally answerd just to put me on another hold. After more then 15 minutes the person came back and finally listened to my concerns. Then she told me there was no appointment available. I explained the emergency and she put me on hold again because she was going to check with the doctor to see what could be done. I waited another 30 some minutes for her to come back, but she never did, she tranfered me to a line to leave a message and disconnected. So again I called back and waited for 20 some more minutes for someone to answer the phone. She answered just to tell me to be put on hold again, I told her i needed an answer but she told she had a line of clients checking in and she would call me back. Now over an hour later still no call.I'm a client of the clinic as much as any of the people standing in line, and I was an the phone with her long before any of those people were standing in line. What gives them the right to discriminate just because you on the phone.It also shoud be known that this is not the first time we received very bad teatment at this location.It used to be good for many years but for the last year or so it has gone down badly.

The customer service is god awful. they don't answer the phone, and when the do, they put you on hold just to hang up on you. I recommend clay road animal clinic. they actually care about you and your animal and are quick to keep you in the loop about your fur baby.

witness a old couple trying to get there dog help jus for the doctor to have lack of empathy for them jus trying to get their dog help he asked what could be done n they accused him of harassing and bullying the receptionist when he just wanted to get his dog help, the doctor says in a very rude way”do you want us to euthanize her then?!” making everyone in the room turn there attention to her n after a while when they had agreed she said”oh ok then!” in a happy tone n just walks off. The disrespect and lack of empathy makes me worried abt how theyre rlly treating our animals in there when were not looking. if you work at a pet hospital at least have some respect for the parents!

Worst experience I have had with a company , talked me into a wellness plan that I couldn't get out of. And then couldn't accommodate my needs,charged me over 600.00 for my puppies first vist, for a bunch of stuff he didn't need

I scheduled an appointment and drove 18 miles only to discover that they were closed. A phone call or email would've been nice.Edit: it's been a year and I emailed like the reply below asked. Got a generic response that they'd be in touch with me within 2 business days. The crickets are still chirping.

My babies first appointment and he was so calm and untraumatized. They were pet lovers, and that makes all the difference. Great experience!

I tried this place about a year ago and had such a terrible experience that I decided not to enroll my cat in the wellness plan.I decided to give it a shot again because I really wanted the wellness plan services. I was hoping staff would’ve improved.Nope. The majority of the front desk staff I interacted with was okay enough. The vet I interacted with was a really nice and professional woman. However the vet nurse has a major attitude. She cannot handle being interacted with by other humans and hates being asked any questions. I asked a simple question about a flea prevention dosage, a question that could’ve been simply and swiftly answered but no. She has to make customers feel like inconvenient idiots. I’m honestly surprised at the overall high rating of this place. Get rid of this woman and maybe you’ll be 5 stars. I’ll be using another Banfield Pet Hospital even if I have to drive farther just to avoid interacting with that woman.

They over charge dr told us to come n for more antibiotics but looked at my dog n charged 50 dollars for nothing n tried to charge for non related issues

Rating this a two simply because of SOME of the front office staff. I’ve had my first dog since she was two weeks old. Around the time she turned 6 months she was bit by a dog, I took her in because her face started to swell and her eye was irritated. The vet who assisted her, cut her face with a scalpel, no warning no nothing in the area she was bit. Needless to say by dog suffered a lot of pain. Then she held her down, pressed her face against the table to put drops in her eye after she just cut her face, at that point my dog was not having it. Ever since my dog has hated going there and into any other facility, we cannot get care for her anywhere without her being scared. Due to her trauma she becomes defensive. When I have to take Banfield for shots and routine check ups, she has to be highly medicated/sedated, and even then she is so afraid that she pees and has bowl accidents. I tried Wagner once and she awful to deal with, extremely rude, cold hearted, just not a pleasant person. My mother had a similar encounter. I am scared to continue to take my puppies here, my other dog is also scared of this place which makes me wonder how they really treat her back there. Now that only Wagner is left it may be time to part ways.The new manager is clueless, no point in saying anything to her, phones never get answered, calls never get returned. My twos stars are highly generous.
