I went in to cash a money order from the United States postal Service. I still have the actual receipt from the money order so everything was still attached. The cashier did not speak any English whatsoever but I was patient with her and used text to translate to ask her what was the issue. She translated back that the United States postal Service was not a company in their system. So then I call customer service which they transfer me three different times. The third person comes on the line and says that their system is down as I'm standing there watching other people cash their handwritten checks from a bank without them requiring any authorization if the money is in the account or not. They would not cash my money order from the United States postal Service. I do not want to think that it is because I was the only one in there that could speak English but I want to know how is it that the post office is not a company or a business that shows up within your system when you receive mail every single solitary day? Why is it an actual money order able to be cashed but a regular check from a bank that I saw no one getting clearance to see if it was funds available in this bank or not. Why was that check able to be cash but not an actual money order? I have shopped at this store for several years since I've been out here in Texas. I will never go back to this store again because I feel as though that this was targeted and they chose to not cash an actual money order from the United States postal Service.
