Wouldn’t help me without an appointment. Told me it was because I had to see someone specific and she wasn’t there. I was the only customer in the bank and plenty of people who should have been able to help me. So I made the appt for the next day. I had to wait for 30 minutes before they decided they would help me anyway since the person I had an appt with didn’t show up. So clearly they could have helped me the first day.

On May 30th, 2024 I opened a checking account with PNC at 6375 Woodway Dr, Houston, TX 77057 with a banker. On May 31st, 2024, I deposited a check from Chase bank from my attorney for a car settlement. I was then notified that a hold was put on the check. The check cleared on Tuesday, June 4th, 2024. They informed me that they are closing my account and that they will send me a cashier's check. They said they were still investigating my account and had put a hold on it. They could not tell me any information as to when the hold will be removed so that I can could get the check. I filed a complaint with the CFPB on June 10th, 2024 and received a call from the complaint handler that said they had received the complaint. He gave me his direct line but is seldom in contact and does not answer my calls or return them. I reached out to the regional district manager on June 13th, 2024 and received a call from the district manager that evening. I was told he would be in contact, and he gave me his direct line as well. I was then informed on June 14th, 2024 that I only needed to go into the bank to verify my identity and that they would issue me a cashier’s check at the bank. I sat at the bank for 2 hours and provided my drivers license, passport, 2 debit cards, social security card, and birth certificate. I was told that my identity had been verified and they needed to verify the funds of the check. I was then told by the person handling the complaint on June 17th, 2024 that they needed me to go into a branch and take my social security card to verify my identity. I went to the branch and spent over an hour where I spoke with the investigator, the lead investigator. He informed me that his investigation was ongoing and that they were still determining if they would close my account but that the complaint handler telling me they would issue a cashier’s check was untrue. I was then told that the investigator would take the matter to his management team and I would hear back from them in a few days but he could not tell me exactly how many days. He asked very invasive questions and as a survivor of sex trafficking, I should not have to disclose that to the bank, but I was made to with all of his questions. The issue in question is about my identity which I have gone into a branch 3 times to prove. I am at a loss, and as a single mom, I am depending on that check to survive.

They never call you back (including manager) or check their emails. I have to send over info more than once just to have name change. Pretty incompetent people!!

Super fast in making a deposit. Super slow in giving me the cash. Pretty sure the teller had to get approval from US congress to withdraw not much money. Not to mention there was ONE teller working as the line is growing larger. Tighten up PNC!

This PNC Bank location has the worst customer service by far of any PNC Bank in Houston! I believe the bank manager and some of there bank tellers are racist. I went there to make a withdrawal they made me jump thru hurdles just to withdraw money from my account. The male manager that spoke to me was extremely rude and try to refuse me service. I will never go to that location again and will be closing my account and putting a formal complaint with corporate regarding the manager to have me the worst customer service I ever experienced at a bank in my life!

Most terrible service I have received in any pnc branch… not only did I get moved to the side to wait on a banker to do my transfer, everyone who came after me handled their business and left… after 20 mins of waitin without any update, I asked how much longer and the banker said 10 mins I’ll be done, I’m still sitting here waitin and it’s been 1hr and they are not even busy. This is terrible

I'm completely revising my review thanks to the solid professionalism and great customer service of Shiretta. She promptly addressed my concerns, promptly investigated the situation, and took immediate action to make correct of steps. Without her contribution this entire debacle would've never been fixed, or probably even noticed by BBVA. I'm still not happy at all with BBVA and the fact they closed an account for no reason without explaining to me, after I had been at the bank to ask them questions about why I had ceased to receive communication. Thank you Shiretta!
