Do not stay in room 208! Carpet and mattress reek of pet urine. Our suitcase was ruined and all clothes had to be washed. We were not informed that pets had been in the room prior to our stay.
We definitely stayed at this hotel on Feb 22-23, 2025. We did not realize where the smell was coming from or how bad it was until the next day when we were leaving.
Rooms: Inspect and smell everything before you sleep in the bed.

I had a quick 1 night stay here that my travel agent booked for me and we chose it specifically for the shuttle. That being said, I’ve never been to the state, area nor a hotel with an airport shuttle before. This was an entirely new experience for me, but the fact that it was a new experience does not mean it matters any more or less on how the customer service is. I made sure a couple weeks prior to my stay that I called and knew what I needed to do to get the shuttle and was told that when I arrive, to call the same phone number and they would send the shuttle to pick us up. So as soon as I arrived at the airport and got to passenger pick up, I called and the lady on the phone snapped that I need to go to pick up 14 and then call right back before she hung up on me without anything else. Snapped isn’t exaggerating, I had her on speaker and my entire party was shocked at her tone and how she spoke. It was maybe 15 feet to pick up 14 which my party walked to and I called back as I was told. The customer service lady was very rude and snappy again said it’s already there, which nothing was there and I said “no it isn’t but I’m happy to wait for a few minutes” and she said “no it’s already there.” then hung up on me yet again before I could ask further questions like, ‘what does it look like’, ‘does it have your name on it’, or any other question about the Service. Again, this was a new situation for me so I was extra nervous. I then proceeded to wait for about 40 minutes until the van marked with Best Westerns logo arrived. I gave her the benefit of the doubt in that moment, even though it really upset me, and I was worried that I had messed up something, and was scared about my transportation and everything. All of the people with me traveling were also new to this, and were equally upset. When we finally got to the hotel, She was continually rude and snappy with us all at check-in, and we were more than happy to get away from her. I’ve never had a situation at a hotel, where someone had had so much blatant disrespect and vitriol for the consumer. It was truly shocking. At first I thought maybe she had a bad day or something, but then I saw many many other reviews here and elsewhere about the same woman and now I just know she’s terrible at customer service and is not a nice person. I’m sorry in advance to anyone else who books and has to deal with her. I can safely say I will never stay at this location ever again and I will be sure to let my travel agent know not to book this hotel for any of his patrons again as well. Horrible horrible experience.

Pretty clean. Beds comfortable. Okay breakfast. Child size toilet, maybe 12 inches tall. Could use a refresh.

A budget hotel in a convenient location, close to the airport and a busy road. Ideal for a transit or a short stopover. Recommended for travelers looking for practical and affordable accommodation.

Used the hotel for 1 night. Have stayed with brand and loved it. This hotel needs some new staffing, just overall not organized or very friendly.
Called the night before to confirm, female desk worker very unfriendly and short.
Arrived at Hobby, shuttle driver was fast and pleasant, but the van looked pretty unprofessional. Beat up, faded stickers from multiple hotels.
Had a 1 br suite, went to use pullout couch. No bedding whatsoever. The reservation was for 3 adults.
Called down for bedding, was told "you have to come down and get it". Got dressed, got bedding, no apology.
Looked at mattress, found:
1. A dead grub bug (not bedbug)
2. A dead, tiny green moth
3. Several toenail clippings
Absolutely disgusting.
Oh, and arm of desk chair was broken and hanging off.
Hotel was full of cruise passengers for Sunday departure.
One shuttle for dozens.
My group paid for 2 Ubers, to ensure we made trip.
Hotel isnt cheap, but runs like one.

Room was okay. Continental breakfast was just okay. No fresh fruit. Limited selection of healthy options in lobby. Location to Hobby airport is excellent.

Just stay away from this hotel, my mother was in that hotel and the receptionist was a nightmare, she did not identify herself, she asked for 30 dollars more, we tried to find the manager but she identified herself as the manager of the place and refused to give her name, my mother managed to take a picture of her and then she hid so they would not record her, she was very rude and did not want us to be in the lobby waiting for the Uber because she demanded an ID and room number and full name, they treated us like dogs, we are attentively waiting for a response from our superiors because that woman is a complete nightmare, we need an answer and we are willing to go in person to discuss it with a superior, the treatment of that lady was a true nightmare, how is it possible that when entering the hotel she asks for 30 more?? We have visited many hotels and the price has never been inflated. We have never paid more than the reservation fee, which was through hotels.com. She demanded 30 more. My mother told her no. She pretended not to and didn't say anything else. But then what happened in the lobby while we were waiting for our Uber in the lobby, she kicked us out. What is that? How is this allowed? We need an answer?

First of all I will start by clarifying that the hotel is very clean and is in perfect condition except for the receptionist. This woman should not work with the public. I do not know what is happening because she is in that position. My wife was mistreated by this lady on two occasions. The first time was when we arrived a little late to check in. We arrived at approximately 5 in the afternoon and she said that we had to pay 30 dollars more because we had arrived late. My wife, of course, told her that that was not the procedure and that there was some mistake. She pretended not to notice and proceeded to give her the room without charging her any extra. Then my wife is in the parking lot and goes in because she was going to wait for an Uber that was going to pick her up and the lady approached her and asked her if she was not at the hotel she had to go outside immediately. My wife told her that she was at the hotel and she told her to give her the room. When she gave her the room, she then told her to give her her name. I find all of this very unpleasant, and in a very bad way. This is disrespectful as far as we are concerned, we do not intend to ever go to that hotel again unless this problem is solved.
On top of that we asked to speak to her superior and she said that she was the superior and that she couldn't talk to anyone else even her face was laughing. This is unacceptable.

Staying at this hotel was a nightmare had bugs coming out the air vent in the bathroom. The manger was not so nice for a two months stay. All the other people who worked at the front was sweet people. Do not stay here for a long time. To pay 12/17/24 $ 6,824.92 with that manager running it will be a hell no my room didn't get clean right have pictures. Tv is out dated sad.

I had booked 2 months in advance for a trip to come see my sister. When I got there the lady at the front desk was already rude. She ask for my ID and i’m 19. She proceeded to tell me you have to be 21 or older and I asked why they didn’t put it on the hotel app or at least have it some where and she said “ Well i’m telling you now”. So i just walked out. The floors were dirty and it was overall not good experience at all

Property has great potential, but was not well maintained. We had several issues in our room that were insightly. Breakfast was lackluster, coffee machine was supposed to be available 24/7 but seem to be turned off at a certain point in the evenings. One really nice thing is that the rooms are large. Bed was not that great and there was a exercise room with broken equipment.

Ended up disappointed with my stay here. They switched up the price on us once we got there after a long drive. They told me 10 additional dollars and then proceeded to charge me over 20 dollars. I would have stayed at the holiday inn or any of the nicer hotels in the area. The lady at the front desk, her name starts with a C, she was very rude and short too. I'm not sure why the other recent review mentioned that she was great. I had the opposite experience.
As for the rooms, the hotel is dated and the reviews about the smell are accurate. I don't typically smell stuff but you could definitely tell, maybe like a wet a towel type of smell. We also tried to use the heater and and it smelled terrible so we just slept without it.
I hadn't tried a best Western in years and I wanted to give them a chance but I definitely won't be going back to any of them.
On the positive side, it was directly across from the parking spot so that went well.
