I visited Buchanan's for the first time looking for a very specific plant. Will & Celeste deserve honorable mention for their patience & taking the time to not only help me find the plant, but also teach me about proper care to ensure longevity. They were so incredibly kind & I was relieved to have such an easy experience. Not only was it my first time at a plant nursery, but I was having a particularly hard day & their kindness left a lasting impression that I won't forget. Can't wait to visit again when I have the opportunity to take my time & browse their vast collection.

Went in today, not having a clue on what I was going to buy and this wonderful lady helped me pick my first plants! She elaborated on how they need to be taken care of, where they should be and got all the supplies I needed! Will be coming back!! I loved it here!

By far the friendliest and most dedicated nursery in Houston. Large selection, plants are well marked. Signs show characteristics (conditions required) as well as growing dimensions.
Appreciate its section and categorization, including native plants and mosquitoes-repelling ones.
Quite a sizeable place walked around and asked lots of questions to short-list some options for our project. Knowledgeable staffs, helpful with plant selection and recommendations.
Many planters, outdoor fountains, and garden decorations too.
Yes, as many reviews point out, prices may not be the lowest. But factoring in the care these plants are given, I think it is a good value. Roots matter, healthy plants have better chance to grow beautifully.

I came in today 8/26/23 to get (Returns) on flowers that I bought a few weeks ago, No refund was giving bc they were not sellable...Why would I want to return good flowers... So Upset !!! ?

I have heard about Buchanan's from several individuals and, as someone who really enjoys gardening, it is always a treat to visit a nursery for the first time and there was no disappointment whatsoever. To the contrary, the experience was great! The products offered are high quality and the staff is exceptional! And, for the record, I did make several purchases.

My partner and I stopped by Buchanan’s earlier today and Corrie was the absolute sweetest! They stopped in the middle of what they were doing to help us out and answer all of our questions. We loved getting to talk to her and will absolutely be coming back on a regular basis!

Amazing amazing quality plants. Such a wide variety. They most likely carry anything you’re looking for. The staff is extremely friendly and I’ve had a pleasant experience every time I’ve come. I also needed to return one of my plants (although I loved it), because I didn’t realize in our culture we shouldn’t keep that plant in or out of the home. Waheeda was so kind and understanding on the situation and refunded me fully for the plant. They have a great return policy (1 year in good condition). So, I am extremely grateful!!! Will be returning back here for more plants!

This is an update to share how your plant trays are not only appreciated by customers. For a month or so, my Buchanan's Native Plants tray has provided shelter and a comfortable nesting location for this Momma mourning dove, and now her two beautiful babies.
