Friend checked in this past September 19th Friday, 2025! Unfortunately front desk night worker is incompetent to begin with. Got assigned Room #204 on purpose cause this hotel does room placement control. Please be aware that this hotel's seems to practice selective room placement intentionally. Unfortunately certain guests are assigned substandard rooms. The room we got the AC unit is broken and set at a certain warm temperature word automatically turns off every 15 minutes. Fan speed is not responsible either and the unit is old and damaged which is a safety and electrical hazard since the top is exposed open with the inside wires. There's no phone lineland and the room is missing several other key components. No ice bucket and no blow dryer or ironing board. Also the pool and jacuzzi area outside in the back is not operational and close to the public. While inspecting different locations of the hotel to see if everything was in order inside the stairwell on the 3rd floor west side of the building I witness a big flying cockroach on the wall. Also in my room underneath the AC unit was another dead cockroach. This is the first time I see cockroachs at different times locations on the same night...The main entrance is locked at night so you need a keycard to get inside or have receptions buzz you in. Outside the parking lot is safe and quiet. There are no homeless people or random commotions.

I couldn't be more pleased with the experience I've had. Mahi, Ms. Leslie and Mr. Chris have been phenomenal! The kindness and attentiveness has been unparalleled. The remainder of the staff have also been pleasant. I love the room, the property overall is quiet and accommodating. The location is perfectly surrounded by everything anyone could need. I love it here!

I was very impressed with my room bed super comfortable nice kitchen waffle house walking distance the only thing I like was the sign saying that the hotel is not responsible for break-in vehicles...you do have some folks walking around at night just be aware of your surroundings

First the elevators and now the sewage. No discount. Blood on sheets and sewage backup and then blamed us. Then the manager says I owe them when they owe me. Roaches!!!!!!! Blood on bath towels. They kept my $100 deposit!

Beds were comfy. Room smelled old and moldy though after the cologne scent they sprayed wore off⌠Restroom had shampoo, body wash, conditioner, hand wash, hair dryer, walk in style shower, mirror that was made for short people, and fast toilet flushing. WiFi, small tv, hot iron kitchen, cooking utensils, fridge, plates, cups, dishwasher, microwave, and a clothing iron. Front desk was friendly and attentive. They have really noisy AC that sounds like itâs on its last life. There are a few laundry machines. Pool is kept okay and not super clean. No breakfast included for charging higher than other places. Waffle House very nearby. Close to many shops and bellaire. The smell of the room and how they tried to hide it by spraying a scent to try and mask it really made this review lowerâŚ

The elevator was out we was on the 3rd floor and one of our group members had a stroke so it was a long trip the chair was broken in the room it smelled funny the couldn't offer us another blanket said what was in the room was all the had the lady at front desk was rude

The room was ok, but not what was depicted on the website. The beds were comfortable, but no scheduled housekeeping; you have to call the front desk and request that your room be cleaned. Toilet paper could be picked up at the front desk but in order to get fresh towels, you have to bring the used ones to the front desk. A couple of outlets did not work and I had to report that the room's phone did not work. The staff were nice and cordial, but after seeing the roach crawl off the elevator, I decided that I would not use this hotel again.

Location is only thing good about this hotel, THEY ARE CERTIFIED SCAMMERS appliances in room will break if touched and theyâll hold Yu responsible, Hallways smell pissy, THE ONE ELAVATOR SMELLS EVEN WORST, Outlets donât work in rooms there are no blow dryers âthey were all stolen in every roomâ, Plp smoke in the rooms so much they canât differentiate a smoke free room to a smokers room, I tried to kick out a recliner and the couch literally fell apart on me, we were charged for âtowelsâ being damaged, âThe room keys had to be reactivated a million times,â Then the batteries for the room door died and had to be changed, My group didnât complain because we figured we were getting what we paid for cheap room, These plp charged our card 500 plus dollars for NOTHING, Absolute SCAMMERS and itâs not even worth the hassle police presence there CONSTANTLY, Pls stay at Holiday Inn or next door at Country inn, Candlewood on Westheimer and their management will ruin your stay, Just how they did my family trip I feel horrible for recommending it⌠Thatâs my experience

This place is absolutely HORRIBLE!!!!! Avoid this place at all costs. The curtains had holes in them and did not offer privacy from the parking lot. The door frame in the room isn't even framed correctly. Someone could have easily kicked the door in. Beds mattresses were very hard, and the boxed mattress didn't even fit on the old classic bed frame. Mattresses were FILTHY AND TORN AND STAINED. Lamp shades were not even in decent shape! NO hot water for showers! The light switches were dirty and there was so much filth in the tv remote. I didn't even sleep at all. I could smell the fumes of a hotel that is turning into a halfway house!!
Christopher Lewis the general Manager just stood there as I voiced to him my concerns and his response was if I had a problem to call IHG because they weren't maintaining the property. He easily shifted the blame somewhere else. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Sleep in your car would be ideal rather than spending one night in this place!!
IHG should really adopt to getting this place off their hotel lines or fix it up quickly cause it's not a good look. I would rather at this point look at other hotel lines that offer the same point reward program than IHG!!!!

Candlewood Suites Houston Westchase - Westheimer are very unprofessional, inappropriate and lack one single ounce of integrity. Before I checked - in to this suite I called just to check what services as well as accommodations would be available such as {Access to Internet/Wi-fi, Pool, Fitness Center, Work Space, Guest Laundry center/room and so forth} with the confirmation of my call these service were available. I thought I would be receiving quality care.
However I was wrong and chances are if you choose to stay at this suite you may end up being stalked, followed and a victim of your property being stolen by staff, verbal abused by Candlewood Suites Houston Westchase - Westheimer Staff, Personnel, Management along with Candlewood Supervirors for reporting the any matters.
You can expect the following at your stay at Candlewood Suites Houston westchase - westheimer only one set of fresh linen per week or you may wash it yourself if a washer & dryer is available, suite room cleaning once a week, staff along with personnel entering your paid suite without your permission or giving you notification of entry on non- suite cleaning day, no pool access at this time, no access to {google, youtube, facebook and etc}, no functioning access to print, fax, copy documents...
