If I could give this place zero stars I would. DO NOT COME STAY HERE! They have CPS teenagers who stay here and they are an actual public disturbance to the place, I encountered teenagers fighting workers and the manager just won’t do anything about it. AND BARBARA IS THE RUDEST HOUSE KEEPER EVER. She does not do her job right and looks at you like she’s cursing up a storm inside her head. Horrible service except for a few ladies who were nice enough to attend me.. especially one lady who I don’t see around anymore her service was the best I’ve ever gotten..I can’t remember her name but she cleaned the rooms super well. Now rooms are messy and unfinished, clearly rushed. DONT STAY HERE.

The fact that I stayed here for 8 days without any hot water is crazy then when checking out kept my deposit saying the room smell like smoke like tf I’m a smoker it’s on my clothes but y’all that broke and need my 100 deposit that bad yall got it I hope yall don’t get anymore customers for the rest of the week front desk rude for no reason and never have any answers to the important questions like why I’m paying 104 and night and can’t wash myself properly with hot water like I paid for ? Yall sorry but I guess ‼️ and not to mention the bites that were left on our bodies and the roaches smh ridiculous never again CANDLEWOOD

Overcharged my account. Called 4 times and keep getting different answers with no resolution. Between the front desk employees and location I’d steer clear of this place.

I booked a room at this hotel on 1/22/2024 to 1/27/2024 after being on the road for a while. Upon entering the room I noticed that there was blood splatter on the wall so I called the front desk there was no answer so me and my fionce went downstairs to inform the manager of what we saw she said she’d come up when she did she told us that she would have maintenance come in the morning this was after we asked to be moved and was told it was too late because we had put our clothing in the closet we had been in the room less than 30 minutes and being that we were declined we stayed but things got worse as I went on my side of the bed and there was large drops of blood on the floor so we decided to pack up and go and ask for a refund on the way out we spotted blood on the inside of the door handle imagine how disgusted and pissed off we were as we had touched that knob several times we went down stairs and after a few minutes of conversing and convincing the manager she gave us another hideous room but I was so tired after asking for a refund and just going back and forth I settled and shouldn’t have this whole experience was messed up! I don’t think I’d stay there again and I also have pictures wish there was a way to upload them I’d do that in a heart beatRooms: Horrible

This was a horrible hotel. When we got to our room it wasn’t even 10 minutes my woman noticed small little drops of blood on the wall . Then we noticed blood drops on the floor by the window and blood on the door handle on the inside door handle. This was so damn nasty. So we both looked at each other and said let’s go. It reminded of a episode of first 48.

Great service from the front desk ;) Very sweet and understanding house keeping. Keep in mind this is a Pet friendly place! The location is hidden. The view is dull. I can't argue with free coffee ☕

When I walked into the hotel doors it smelled good. Went to check in and everything was fine. When I got to my room it had a smell to it. I went to the front desk and asked them for some spray and they gave it to me and told me to bring it back. My kids and I were sleep and got awoken bc of a fire alarm. My daughter was scared because she thought it was a real fire. I had to keep her calm and make sure she got her shoes on and left out. We took the stairs and waited outside. At no point did a worker come outside and tell us it was safe to enter. When we got back inside I stop by the front desk to asked what happened. She said it was not their fault that someone was cooking and the smoke got out in the hallway. I asked if there is anything she can do for the inconvenience of being woken up by an alarm and she stated nothing can be done and that it’s not the hotels fault. If it was a fire and I would have lost all of my things would it not have been the hotel that replaced my items.

We arrived and there were cop cars at the entrance. The desk clerk said this hotel housed kids for Texas CPS. These are teens and the cop presence was to monitor violence or acting out. I was checking in when my husband, who was outside, called me and said don’t check in, that we were going somewhere else. Pet fee was $75 so I was all for that anyway. He was standing by our truck when a teen boy was going from vehicle to vehicle checking them all out……. for what? Unsavory people hanging around. Unsafe.

As a career pessimist, I'm always on guard for something to go wrong, ... but when it goes RIGHT, ...Case-in-point: My initial perception of the hotel upon arrival.We arrived a little after 7pm on a Friday, and pulled up behind a City of Houston shuttle bus picking up a passenger. Now, in ALL my travels and stays with IHG, I have never seen a bus come to the front door of a hotel. In my mind I was sayin', "Oh what fresh hell have I gotten myself into?" There were people standing around the front door and in the parking lot. It didn't give me the greatest feeling of welcome.We selected a room on the 4th (top) floor.The room was clean, fresh, and fully stocked. The very opposite of what I was expecting. I salute the housekeeping staff for their professionalism.The next day, after a little "detecting", I found out that this Candlewood is also a long-term, as well as an apartment facility (doesn't state any of this online). Kinda' explains all the people and children roaming the grounds. But the hotel itself was quiet, clean, each bed had 4 pillows, ... everything we expected. The AC even got to a comfortable 68° before we went to bed.As a career pessimist I will say I enjoyed my stay, but they really should work on that first impression!

Me and my fellow coworkers research this hotel, thoroughly before booking. We looked at pictures and read what amenities it had. What reread was that? It was similar to staybridge. And when we get to the hotel we find out that much of those amenities did not exist. Many of the pictures we saw online looked nothing like the hotel we checked into. The rooms were nice, but the surrounding area is very crowded. And then it just made you feel like you had a bait and switch. I had a view of three big transformers and a blue roof of the neighboring hotel. Just not what we were expecting when we booked. They need to update there online descriptions

Amazing stay, hotel is the cleanest crisp soft safe friendliest just to say a few. I was blown away from check in to checkout at how accommodating the staff was it's managed like a 5 star resort. The guaranty of cleanliness is delivered nothing is skipped. I think they are truly amazing, thanks you I will be back many more times.

i stayed here for 3 nights and it was a very clean and nice hotel. they have security gaurds driving around at night which is great. Brandin is a genuine great person and cares about his guest and his work ethic is out of this world. Do not get me started on the rooms. The ac works beyond great, and you pretty much get a dang full size kitchen! The snacks down stairs are the bomb. Not to mention the awesome hot tub. I would say Brandin is the best part though, definitely deserves a raise!

Sent my daughter to this hotel due to a family emergency. Booked it using my husband's IHG Rewards Nights. Put my daughter as a guest. They would not let her use the rewards nights as her father was not with her. She wound up paying her own money. Called IHG Customer Service and they apologized. Said that my daugher should have had no problem checking in with the rewards nights. I think the hotel needs to train their front desk staff better.

Glad we chose this hotel while in town. Surprisingly the hotel was so clean and nice. I cant find clean hotel and great customer service anymore in Houston. Most of them were so dirty and bad customer service. Good job and keep it up. Will be back while in Houston.
