I am a victim of Jugging at Capital One Bank on Westpark & Buffalo Speedway
Beware of this specific location of Capital One Bank. I visited this branch that’s located on 3207 Westpark Dr., Houston, TX 77005 few days ago on Thursday March 30th, 2025 around 1:00 PM. The drive through refused to allow me withdraw $4,000 cash for my overseas travel for 4 weeks. The lady forced me to get the cash from the teller counter inside the bank. I parked my car and walked inside and got my cash. I walked back into my car and went to Kroger located in the same strip center to buy milk. I contemplated whether to keep the cash with me or hide it under the mat to be safe. I chose the latter. I walked out of the car, went inside Kroger, bought the milk and went back to my car. In that quick 5 minute trip, my car was burglarized, the window was smashed, the driver seat floor mat was removed, and $4,000 cash were gone. I filed a police report and the officer told me that jugging is the most common crime in America nowadays and for this incident to be this efficient and quick, it could possibly be an inside job too. The police added that no scenario is a safer option if you draw cash: take it with you inside the store, keep it in your car hidden, or go home with it. Thugs know you got this cash and have made up their mind by hook or by crook they are going to get it. Each of those options come with a price regardless. The blame is on the bank for not having security to protect its customers on their premises. The bank should never allow suspicious persons roam around the front door of the bank and allow non-customers park their vehicles, stay inside their cars, watch the customers as they exit the bank, follow them to become victims of jugging. I saw few cars parked with guys in them but never thought they would follow me to steal my money. I thought they were customers, naively, and didn’t know they were thugs targeting customers!! I contacted the bank, filed a complaint, and shared with them my incident as stated here. They said they will investigate. I hope they do!! For every incident like this, banks should be responsible in returning lost cash to their customers for their lack of safety/security at their locations. Otherwise, invest in employing an officer to monitor foot traffic and activity in the parking lot of suspicious people. I am furious for losing $4,000 in cash, spending $2,400 repairing the damages on my car, and not having a car for several days. Shame on Capital One Bank and any bank for that matter for not securing their locations. Capital One Bank services are difficult and inflexible when it comes to some transactions which force customers to actually go in person to the bank and putting our lives at risk. I will be closing my account with them. AND THAT WILL BE IMPOSSIBLE without going back there again unfortunately! They are worthless and unsafe. Please take extra precautions when you visit Capital One Bank on 3207 Westpark Dr., Houston, TX 77005. If you must go to banks in person, be vigilant and make sure you are aware of your surroundings. If you see people in a car just sitting there, make sure you check if you are being followed after you leave and call the police if you are!

The teller was extremely rude. I went in for a cashiers check and realized that I made a mistake. I asked the teller to fix the mistake. The teller stated that it was too late and she already made the check, and I could just scratch it out. The blank check was sitting on the counter. I asked the teller to do it right the first time. The teller was extremely upset and didn’t speak to me the rest of the transaction.
There is a reason that this location has a two star rating.

The slowest of all of the branches I’ve been to. Midtown or the Galleria are better options.

Totally disgusted ⚠️~ Recovering from foot surgery my son rolled me in via wheelchair to advice I had just been scammed. Teller (as they have no Manager) - initially could care less until I was wanting to take my 300k with me. Then I get a song a dance of her calling a person who made me take an honor pledge not to allow it again. Which I had never been in a situation like this and definitely won’t repeat. Then she proceeded to give me a sticker note on how to avoid scams.~ I was at the branch within 15 minutes of incident. ~ was told funds would be replaced ~ I find out haphazardly on today my dispute was denied as I called to make sure my account number wasn’t exposed. ~. That 700k I was moving over ❌….. If a bank isn’t going to protect me… Tine to go❗️ ~ And the dispute person could care less….. A bank minus customer deposits don’t stand a survival chance. ~ Thanks Capital One for the experience.

Horrible experience My husband drew some cash and somebody was waiting outside followed him and see first chance to rob the money
I think it’s inside job Some informant tell their friends and they followed him
Police should do more investigating
It was all what he had now it’s zero in bank
He’s almost 80 years old and they don’t consider old age or sick man I believe there’s God who can take revenge
