Put money in the wrong account

Five stars for Capital One Bank—despite a slightly slow ATM, the free checking & savings without monthly transaction requirements make it worthwhile. The app conveniently handles refinancing for auto loans, credit cards, & savings all in one place. Additionally, their credit card offers a rewarding referral bonus for bringing in friends.

So Capital One is petty and pretending like this company has morals. LOL They closed my credit card account because they claim I was abusive on the phone. Ooh God, please grow a pair... Customers will sometime express irritation with a company, and sometimes not in a good way. Sure, I was wrong but to close my account is so very stupid of CapitalOne. Well, maybe if this gawd-awful company was better I wouldn't have to get irritated on the phone. This company is so horrible I'm sure you'll be closing the accounts of many customers because that's how bad this company is, especially since the pandemic. But thank you, you actually did me a favor because now I don't have to be worried about paying your sky high interest. Heck, you company is the one losing money, not me. Your company is the one who kept raising my credit limit four times in just a year and a half because I pay my balance down most months. I never asked for it. I seriously think this company was trying to get my credit limit to the point where I couldn't pay it down in a single months so I'd have to pay your criminally insane interest rates. Now had this been Navy Federal (a far superior financial institution) closing one of my certificate accounts where I get 4.25% monthly, then, yeah, I'd be pissed. But, for the love of God, this is Capital One. Not like some premiere credit card such as AMEX. LOL. Like, yes, I did need Capital One to help rebuild my credit 8 years ago, and I'm gratefully for that. But I'm doing pretty good now. I don't need Capital One and it's actually a little embarrassing to be associated with this second rate financial institution. So, I'm losing a Capital One credit card? Oh, my, what am I to do? I can't go on with life... NOT. Let's just say if I ever get to the point where I need to rebuild my credit again, it won't be with Capital One. Since ya'll want to be petty and act like Mother Theresa over there by closing my account, it will be a cold day in hell before I ever try to use Capital One for anything ever again. And you can stop sending me emails or mail, thank you very much!

I have been with capital one over 10 years but this last week's experience is enough to make me change banks. Can't reach anyone on the phones without listening to 10 min worth of automated text, and even then don't get what you need half the time. Horrible customer service when you arrive in person, doesn't even qualify as service. Was called and told to come at a specific time for paper work for foreign currency request--"make sure you arrive before 4:30 because we close at 5"--but when I arrived, door was locked and two tellers staring at me through window with no indication to me, who could see them and know they could see me, of why the door was locked. When I entered the drive through, of my own accord, waited for 15 min, and then was told I had been told over the phone that it was drive-through only. False. I stated that the clerk who called had been too busy telling me that if I arrived after 4:30p there wouldn't be enough time to get me my paperwork. Was told again that I was wrong because this clerk had overheard the conversation. Okay, but you watched me knock on the door, obviously that "fact" wasn't communicated clearly?! Really terrible communication, and I'm sure the doors were locked today because they are overly obsessed about getting out of work on time and care 0% about looking after their customers needs. Good riddance.

Freeze funds with no reason, called many times to fix, tried to pay the credit card from same bank account, IMPOSSIBLE.... trash can bank. I moved from other bank expecting better service....big mistake, I regret it!

DO NOT bank here unless you don't care about Capital One placing a freeze on your account with. When I asked WHY was there a hold, they explained to me Capital One does have to give me a reason. I finally was given my money by check after waiting 3 months!

I ve been a Capital One customer for a few years now. Paid on time with no late payments or interest occurred on my credit card. Paid off 10k in one month of debt. I guess Im not a preferred customer because they are not receiving any interest from me. I had the Venture card with 1.25 x points but recently looked at my statements and the 2 x points was a better fit for me. I received an email from Capital One that I was qualified for it so I applied and received a $3000 credit limit. A week later I get a call from Capital One verifying if I had opened a new credit card. Yes I did. they had restricted both credit cards to verify my income. I submitted the paperwork waited my 7-10 business days more like 12 business days. Come to find out it is still restricted because I put an incorrect date. So no one try to contact me to get this issued resolved. I have been in contact with Capitol One a few times before the 7-10 business days and no one advised me of this. This is unacceptable I have not been able to use my credit card. I have auto pay set up for several bills now I have to change them. Also have over $1000 in points that I earned and cannot use because of the restriction. How and why is Capitol One restricting my account. To verify my income ? you can see over the years everything has been paid on time. Because of fraud? BS!
