Yesterday, 3/2/24, I had an incredibly disappointing experience at Cherry Foodarama, thanks to a greedy cashier whose behavior left me feeling frustrated and disrespected. For months, I've been a loyal customer at this store, always impressed by the helpfulness of their butcher. However, yesterday's encounter with a cashier shattered that perception entirely. As usual, I went to purchase some pork for my cooking needs. Typically, the butcher graciously dices the meat for dishes like dinuguan and menudo without any extra charge. However, yesterday, this cashier insisted that I pay an additional fee for the "labor (though with the help of the machine) involved in cutting the pork.I was taken aback by this demand, especially since the price of the substandard fatty pork was already quite high at $5+ per pound. It felt like an unnecessary and greedy move on the part of the cashier, especially considering the excellent service I had received in the past.Feeling frustrated and disheartened by this encounter, I've decided to take my business elsewhere in the future. Seafood City, with its reputation for excellent customer service and willingness to assist with meat preparation without extra charges, seems like a much better option for my needs. In conclusion, I will not be returning to Cherry Foodarama after this disappointing experience. Greed should never overshadow customer service, and unfortunately, that's exactly what happened here.

I give 3.5 stars. I got lunch from the hot section a little before 11am on a Tuesday. The pancit tasted great as usual. However, the lumpia tasted stale, old and not fresh. The employees are always kind though. I've never ventured over to the grocery.

The store is dirty, dingy and dark. The selection is few and some shelves were completely empty. The counter was empty when we tried to checkout with a couple of ramen. The worker was kinda hostile, no smile or greeting.

I can find most Filipino grocery items sold here, such as frozen fish and other frozen products.Inside, they also served cooked home Filipino foods like adobo, lumpia, pork lechon belly, chicharon bulaklak, fried bangus, and much more. There's also an LBC balikbayan drop-off center. They also sell fresh produce and meat products like longanisa.Cleanliness of the place is fair. The lighting inside the store looks kimda gloomy for me.Customer service is very poor, and something that needs to be improved. The lady from the cashier looks ungrateful. Some staff members are unhelpful.

I like the BBQ. The combo meal's price seems fair. There is LBC inside the store and SMDC agents selling condos. The agents are nice and accommodating.

Very rude cashier and terrible customer service. I asked for some help in the back to get some fish because no one was there and she told me they were all on lunch break at 2pm. I look at the tables and 5 people are on their phones. Shouldn’t a grocery store have service during their service hours? It’s called splitting lunch breaks between employees so it’s always staffed not having 5 people all go at once. Also, the cashier could have walked back and helped me since there were 0 customers besides me but she told me I can wait 30 minutes for their lunch break to be over. Very rude and every time I’m here the employees make you feel like an inconvenience. Crazy.

Whether to-go food or you need a true taste of Filipino food and groceries (or to ship back there) then look no further than Cherry Foodarama. If you are eating at the cafeteria-deli, get there EARLY for the true Filipino eats and trust me, you will not be dissapointed. In terms of the grocery section - this place boasts the staple items and they pack 'em and stack 'em in a tiny space and it shocks me they fit as much as they do in here.Whether you have visited the Philippines and miss certain elements, or you are actually from there, then this little slice of heaven is easily located near Houston's Medical Center and is sure to delight.

recently found this place & initially was impressed.. unfortunately today I was met with poor customer service & terrible food. I had ordered a plate to go & to my surprise when I opened it at home to eat it there was hair in my food. I called to speak to the management but noone ever specified who I was speaking too after repeatedly asking who I was on the line with. the male on the phone then said "I'm sorry sir I can't hear you" then hung up on me. I called back 5x after that & noone answered. veryy disappointed, I will no longer be patronizing this establishment. CUSTOMERS BEWARE.

Tiny Filipino grocery. Really good selection for a small store. Condiments, rice and tons of frozen. Also has a small ready made side to get hot food.

Grocery buyers, BEWARE! It has been an observation that they remove the expiration dates of some of the products they sell in the grocery store. Also, check the inflated pricing. You might get whatever you are trying to buy cheaper at HMart or Ranch 99.

I went by to purchase a combo meal, i choose monggo and adobo. Well, I tried calling their store and no answer the first, 2nd no answer then one answered but hanged up, 3rd call, spoke with someone and sounds unprofessional, i asked for the manager and she stated she's out to lunch she'll be back in an hour. I just wanted to share next time to please ensure the food is not mixed with anything, I have two fish bone the first one I spit in the trash then found another one. Then something unfamiliar, I thought at first it was pork thinly sliced but it's not. It's like the meat from the chitcharon bulaklak. This is unacceptable... how can fishbones be mixed to the monggo? unless they are not washing their pot or something?

Really enjoyed the lumpia, pancit & bbq pork stick from their counter service. Generous portions for a very reasonable price. Excited to return to try more foods.

The meal choices is excellent, especially on Fridays before 11 AM. Additionally, because this is a cafeteria-style setting, there are enough workers to serve your meal. The cuisine is excellent, but to get the finest portion, arrive early. This is the best location in the vicinity of the medical facility to eat Filipino food.

I refuse to step into this store, it’s been over a year since. The cashier was so rude and the other employees were not friendly, so much for customer service. I don’t expect a lot but at least a “hello” or “thank you” would have been nice.
