Stay Away – Bad Gas Ruined My Car, No Accountability
On February 2, 2025, my son filled up his BMW X6 at Med Center Citgo at 2802 Old Spanish Trail, Houston. The pump was extremely slow, taking almost 10 minutes to fill, and the stream of gas was unusually weak. Just two minutes after leaving the station, the check engine light came on and the car began struggling to accelerate. Shortly after parking, the engine wouldn’t start again at all—it would only turn over.
We had to tow the car to BMW, where they diagnosed the issue as bad fuel in the system. The repairs included flushing the fuel system and replacing the spark plugs, costing $2,506.40 out of pocket.
We have made multiple attempts to contact the station owner, Ali, but he has been completely unresponsive and is now ghosting us. No returned calls, no explanation, and no effort to make it right.
After this incident, I discovered multiple similar complaints on Yelp about bad gas from this exact location. This is clearly not a one-time issue.
This gas station sold contaminated fuel that directly caused major damage to a well-maintained vehicle, and they are refusing to take any responsibility. The lack of professionalism and customer care is staggering.
Avoid this gas station at all costs. It’s not worth the risk to your vehicle or your wallet.

Great customer service! Heck, I didn’t know they sell quality fresh small size chicken wings for only $1.99 a lb!Love them..Go get your some!

Reserved uhaul here and I was unable to pick up because no one was here when they are supposed to be open. Also they are not 24 hrs as the page states.

Many Pumps weren't working. Also said it was 1.79 per gallon but in reality it was 1.89 per gallon. Did not specify if it qas a cash discount. Sign just said that qas the price. Total scam.

I've never been so impressed by a gas station. I usually stop at this one for gas on my way to work. The clerks are always very friendly and talkative. Ask me how my day is going and will strike conversation. The other day I stopped for gas and noticed they started selling Halal meat in the store. When I went to check out, the clerk said he noticed me looking at the new meat selection and told me it was from the owner's personal farm. I was very interested because due to health problems, I'm on an all meat diet. I try to eat better quality meat to stay healthy, and so I asked if it was grass fed and finished meat. He said it was grass fed but he was unsure if grass finished. He offered to take down my number so he could ask the butcher when he came in later in the day. True to his word, he called me a few minutes after the time he said the butcher would be in, and told me it is grass finished too. In case anyone doesn't know, meat can be advertised as grass fed if the cow's first meal once past breast feeding is grass. Literally the next day the rancher can give it grain until it's butchered, but it can still be labeled as grass fed. A grass finished meat has to have consumed grass for the rest of its life. The taste and health quality of the meat is amazing. It's insanely cheap. I'm not Muslim, but I feel much better knowing that it's been ethically slaughtered. The customer service is great. It's a cute family owned gas mart. They've got a great selection of middle eastern treats and goodies. I just can't rave about it enough. I've been telling my family all about it and I won't go to another gas station again unless I have to. Not enough businesses like this one today.

One bs place I was the manager and fired for no reason.. to fire a person for no reason is a very low selfish thing to do. Not to give you manager a heads up of what’s go My on is a very cut throat thing to do.. didn’t even consider my bills or living conditions I do believe they are racist towards black people 14.00 Oil Chang and they don’t even change out you Oil filters and the Oil used is a very very cheap off brand Oil that’s very thin and causes leaks on your vehicle

My experience with Med Center Citgo has been a nightmare. I will never take any of my vehicles back to this location and I surely will not recommend this establishment. On 3/19/2018, I was charged around $800 for repairs on my 2008 Buick Lucerne. They were supposed to repair the Oil Pan Gasket Set. A few days passed and I had to take my car to get another inspection only to find out the Med Center Citgo team did NOT repair the Oil Pan Gasket Set. I am VERY LIVID with the services provided.
