These guys had me out the door the same day as a last minute walk in, my engine was misfiring and had several lights popped up due to struggling spark plugs. They diagnosed very accurately without pressuring you into doing any additional unnecessary work. Solved the problem and still had enough cash to have a great weekend so these guys are truly life savers. Big thanks to the nice receptionist lady and all the hard working mechanics who put in that work.

The shop tried to scam me, they quoted 1 price for the transmission price but came to find out he wanted to outsource the transmission, and he was not going to do the work himself. He tried to overcharge me for work he was not working on my vehicle an extra $3000.00. He was pocketing himself without any warranty. For the service repair looking at my vehicle estimating quote stated the price was $129.00, once I made it to this place to pick up my vehicle the price changed to $160.00. I called another transmission place for a quote, come to find out he called the same transmission business after I had given the information about my vehicle the female person on the phone stated a person just called and given my vehicle information asking for a quote to rebuild the transmission on the same make, model and year. That's when I found out he was trying to charge and pocket $3000.00. Do not use them, they don't work on transmission on Google for transmission near me.

I went in to Cliff’s with an obscure issue with my vehicle. A strap from my work laptop back got stuck in the rail of my secondary row seat. This was preventing me from removing my work bag or safely latching the seat. I’d spent hours attempting to detach it myself but decided it was a little more involved than I could handle. After entering Cliff’s office, a lady greeted me and I explained the problem. She immediately took ownership and pulled my vehicle into an empty bay. She, along with another associate worked tirelessly for 2 hours to remove the strap, as it had become jammed and required the seat be removed from the vehicle. Once the job was complete and the seat successfully reinstalled, I went into the office to pay for the labor. The owner of the store (the husband) asked his wife (the co-owner) what the charge would be and she was adamant it was free of charge. Keep in mind it was over 100 degrees and the work went on past their normal operating hours. I refused and explained that I must offer some kind of compensation but again she said no charge. These people are amazing, and they have customers for life through my family.

The AC on my wife's 2008 Dodge Nitro went out and she was essentially riding around in an oven. We just moved to Cypress and found this shop on a listing via Google. They took down the description of the problem on Monday when I called, I dropped it off to the Teusday morning, they called within an hour and found there was a leak and a part needed to be ordered.
Part came in same day, they replaced the hose, and did the evac/recharge of the AC, tested it and I picked it up the same day before 3pm.
It was roughly $400 for the parts, labor and service, but now it runs as cool as a refrigerator and my wife is happy to not be sweating behind the wheel on the way to work.
Other places were going to charge far more and it at a much longer wait. The Didge dealer wanted over 1k. This place was friendly, knowledgeable and eager to help. These folks got down to business and took care of us. If I have any issues I will be back. Two thumbs way up! ? ?

I’m giving the benefit of doubt. This group was nice. They seemed honest. But this felt wrong. I was surprised…since I’d used them before and they seemed trustworthy due to past interactions.
I took a vehicle in I’d had parked for 2-3 years. I told them I’d paid a mechanic years ago to diagnose the problem then decided not to pay that mechanic $1700 to fix the car. I told Cliff’s that I’d found out the dealer no longer made parts for my car so I bought the part via and aftermarket manufacturing company. I was not able to tell them exactly what the previous mechanic said was the problem. But I knew it had something to do with O2 sensors or the part connected...and the part I purchased.
I asked what happens if they can use the part. They told me there could be an issue with warranting the part if it was used.
They told me I had to pay the fee to diagnose the problem, which I accepted since I did not have the report from the other mechanic. When the report came back, they told me the exact same thing the other mechanic told me. They gave me a bill for the estimated cost of service and part needed to fix my car.
When I asked which part was in my car, one of the owners told me I purchased a muffler. ? I had not. It was the same part they wrote in their report that I needed.
Why not tell me the options with the part I had verses going through their vendor for the part? Why tell me I purchased a different part? Their cost overall was reasonable but I did not want to buy a part I already had…
I don’t like to feel like I’m being taken advantage of…

I highly recommend Cliffs Car Tech. The team is highly professional, knowledgeable, do a great job, and provide excellent customer service. I recently went to Cliffs for break fluid change, oil change, struts, and shocks. My truck is driving like it’s brand new. ?
