Hostess was a bit rude. Our server was great though. Food was also tasty. Would return.

We've been coming here for several years, but seems things are slowly deteriorating with each visit. We came last Saturday and the waiter, although he said he had been there several years, embarrassingly stumbled through the menu descriptions and had to return to the table to correct his mistakes. He was not familiar with the "new" items. The meatballs were not quality. They literally fell apart as soon as you touched them and had a strange, offensive flavor. We ordered the Tagliatele and the Linguini. Both were ok, but not the level the dishes used to be. We also got the Focaccia, tough, and the lemon ricotta, which was very refreshing and clean. It wasn't a horrible experience, but definitely not what we have enjoyed in the past. Maybe it was an off night, but I did want to let the team know. We always support our neighborhood restaurants and we live just a few blocks away, but I think we might try some other places for a while. We used to walk out of there so impressed, but lately it's just been "meh".

Hands down the best pizza and pasta in Houston. The restaurant is lively and the overall mood is fun while still being intimate. You have to have the strawberry crostata for dessert!

Beautiful atmosphere, and amazing food. Some of the best grilled chicken I have ever had in my life. The pizza is also fantastic.

Intended to come here for a group dinner but the rest of the group canceled so my husband and I came for a date night instead. It has been at least two years since we dined here last and we certainly won’t wait another two years to come back. They didn’t always take reservations, but I am so happy that they do now! We were asked to wait in the garden when we arrived at the restaurant but our table was ready within 10 minutes. Our server gave great recommendations and all of the dishes we shared really hit the spot. We had the charred broccoli salad, grilled cabbage, bolognese and the broccoli pizza. Our only slight misstep was the pizza. It was very good but I think we both just assumed it would have mozzarella in addition to the feta listed on the menu. Our mistake and not theirs but I do prefer a cheesier pizza. Service and ambiance were both great and we were glad we ended up keeping the reservation when our friends had to cancel.Vegetarian options: Tooooons of vegetarian options. Starters, salads, pizzas and pastas.Dietary restrictions: Has gluten free options etc.Parking: Street parking. Not super difficult to find parking but not wildly convenient.

Good spot with good food and reasonable pricing. I got takeout and ordered the dishes below and enjoyed them all. Note that the Cacio is a bigger dish than the cavatelli- Cauliflower- Cacio e Pepe- Cavatelli

They have reached the plateau of, "we are so good if you don't come back we don't care." I was charged $1 for lousy bread and $2 for the butter. It was not on the menu and I was not told there was a charge. I looked at bill and addressed with waitress. She said that's how it is, rolled her eyes, and left. Food was very mediocre and I felt like I should feel privileged to get to eat there. Too many awesome Italian restaurants around Houston that want your business...... Will not be back.

Incredible Gin and tonic. Great drinks overall. Rich and light pizza. Pasta is from scratch. Can't go wrong with either.

Our waiter was a consummate professional. We were treated like mob bosses. Food was over the moon. Just warmed my leftovers for breakfast. I want to rub it all over my body it's so good.

Rude service - rushed us out of our table and made us finish eating in the garden with plates on our laps. We hadn't even been there that long and were actively ordering more. The waitress in the garden (not our server at our table) was wonderful, but when it came time to leave, our original server came over after we hadn't seen him in forever and asked us each how much we'd like to leave as a tip - so awkward. For extra context, this was when they first started taking reservations, and we didn't realize this, so they seated us (there were plenty of empty tables as we got there very early) but they were rushing us the whole time and extremely rude and the waiter kept condescendingly saying we should've known they take reservations now. I think they didn't know how to time their seating with the reservations yet, which I understand, but why seat us in the first place then? And why be so rude? I've never been back. Too many great restaurants in Houston to justify going back somewhere with bad service even though the ambiance and food is great.

Wow! What an experience. This was my 2nd time coming here and it blew us away again. We sat inside this time since it was a bit chilly. It was definitely louder inside especially when it got busier but still very nice. Jason was our waiter and he was very attentive and friendly. Recommended a very good chardonnay for my mom that we instantly wrote down to buy for another time. My dad is a gin drinker and they had a very knowledgeable person there that helped my dad sample some gins, explain the differences. My dad found a new favorite gin that is so different from one's he usually drinks. We also tried their fancy gin and tonic, wow. If you like gin def try it out. They do change the drink with the seasons which I think is so cool. The food is amazing. My favorite is the focaccia with the salsa Verde. So flavorful you can't stop eating it. For dessert our favorite was the chocolate rum cake. Wow.We will be back for sure and can't wait to share with our friends.

Tried their pre-packaged fresh lasagna meal at HEB! My God! How is that best lasagna I’ve had. I could only imagine it being fresh out the oven. I’m a lover of authentic Italian food. Can’t stand certain places or frozen meals. But I knew of their quality, but never tried their lasagna. Let alone out of a store! I’m on cloud 9!!!! Should’ve taken a photo lol

Service and atmosphere was really great! The food was okay. We got pizza (one regular and one gluten free) and it just wasn't as tasty as we would've thought for the price. The gluten free bread and pizza crust weren't the best unfortunately. I think it's still a great spot for authentic italian dishes and the drinks were great!

I went to Coltivare for the very first time back in 2021 for my birthday. A close friend of mine, who’s Italian, recommended me this place to me since I was hoping to eat authentic Italian food. I have yet to find another Italian spot like this one since. I’ve also been lucky enough to come when the pianist is there. The cocktails are great and so is the wine! I have yet to receive a bad wine recommendation. The pasta and the calamari?? *chef’s kiss*
