do NOT rent from the place. This place auctioned my unit without ever sending me an email or giving me a call. I always got an email or a call when my unit was passed due, then suddenly nothing.
I call and they tell me even though For years i got calls and email updates on my accounts, that they aren't required to give you a call or email. They can just say they sent out letters and steal your unit.
ABSOLUTE SCAM DO NOT RENT FROM THIS PLACE. i will be contacting my attorney regarding this scam of a establishment

I have been here before to rent a uhaul truck and that guy is pretty grumpy, but I went back to rent a storage unit - the lady was soo super helpful and friendly, and explained my options, and listened to my questions to get me the best unit for me. access was easy whenever I needed to get something from or put something in the storage unit, well lit, smelled clean throughout, the restrooms were clean, lots of carts always available to use to get things in and out, and always felt safe, even when I went over later at night to miss traffic. One day I was there and there were a number of customers there, one in particular, Mr. Gonzalez per his truck label, left trash everywhere they went - inside, outside, everywhere - food wrappings, half eaten McD's fries thrown everywhere, plastic furniture wrap, ripped styrofoam, etc. - the staff addressed it immediately (not sure if they cleaned it up or stopped them at the gate and sent them back to clean it up) but I went up to the third floor to get some stuff out of my unit, came back 20 minutes later, and it was all cleaned up. Check out was also super smooth. I called and said, this is when I'm coming to get my things, when can I check out, and boom - no problems. Highly recommend.

Ok im confused online says 5am to midnight unit access when I called was told 9 am to 6pm that won't work for me not a goodway to get my business lol

I made a reservation twice with this location. Both times I was told we don't have that size but we have the next larger size available. The next size up is quite a bit higher in price than what I reserved. 1stbtime I reserved a 3x5 at $9.08 , very cheap price. Told they have none but next size up a 5x5 is $76. I decline so I can check the price online. I reserve a 5x5 for $49. The next day tho they have none available. Next size they have is over $300. They then recommend other storage places in the area. This is bait and switch. Bad customer service. Treated me like an idiot for thinking they would honor a reservation.

I think a lot of the reviews are outdated, I had a great experience at this Community Self Storage. Knowledgeable staff, smooth billing, and clear cut policies. Was able to reserve a truck easily and both elevators were fully functional throughout my rental period. Really appreciated the security of the complex.

Was very impressed with the truck rental process here. They saved us on our moving day after Home Depot gave our reserved truck to someone else. They have a nice air conditioned lobby and helpful staff. If you’ve been to other U-haul places in Houston you know how refreshing that is. They even have a fish tank in the lobby!

Man, this Best storage company in the city. I had just relocated here from San Diego and Columbus, Ohio and they allow me to ship my personal belongings to them and that is good customer service I highly recommend you guys if you’re looking for any storage unit self storage companies here over on Washington Avenue definitely come check out community self storage. The office is highly clean and neat I’ll definitely be back to buy a storage unit if I have to store my things.

Oh my .. what an awful experience ... And the employees are the worst! Mary the manager accused me of sleeping in my unit on the third day of my contract ... Breached our contract .. changed my facility hours from 5 am - midnight to 9 am - 6 pm .. talk about getting ripped off. She would stop by my unit and insinuate that I had just woken up .. the day after the hurricane .. she and Sara were just awful to me ... I was dirty and storing some things due to my house suffering during the storm. I was in the elevator on a Sunday and went downstairs to use the ladies room and unbeknownst to me .. after 6 pm I do not have access to the elevator... I was livid. That place is a disaster ... So happy I moved facilities!! Community Storage and the employees are TERRIBLE, AWFUL people!!!

They have the latest access time (midnight) of all the competition. Good customer service from everyone who works in the office. Units with electricity are extra. Restrooms are clean. Basically no trash receptacles.
