“I scheduled a next day pickup for furniture we no longer needed, but which was still in good condition. The whole process was quick and straightforward. Fill out a quick form online, and get updates via email or text (we used text). Bradley and Jacob were our pickup
team, and they were amazing. They were earlier than scheduled which was perfectly fine (I was given notice when they were 40 minutes out), and were polite, friendly, professional, and efficient. I'll definitely use them again in the future!”
“My family and I went on this trail and its amazing, I love the views, the various insects and greenery, the only downside is that you have to pay for parking, but its a great experience”
“Great staff and facility very helpful with your needs and the have a wide variety of health options and they’ll work with you if you’re not covered Dr Joy Ebomwonyi really is great and knowledgeable and cares for her patients. Definitely recommend coming here”
“Volunteered for the morning and helped pack trail mix and make sandwiches. Had a great time helping and listened to good music while doing it. For a good cause helping kids have lunches.”
“Since moving to Houston in 2022 I began giving blood in honor of my niece whom I lost unexpectedly 12/1/21. Every experience with this location has been great and really appreciated. This visit Demetra was the nurse who assisted me and she was so kind and pleasant. I definitely recommend this location for friendly, kind and quick service!!”
“I've never donated blood before, so coming in I was quite nervous, but the ladies here did a wonderful job at making me feel comfortable.Mary helped me through the check-in process, answered all of my questions, and was very friendly. She assured me I was in good hands, and not to worry about anything.Once i went back to the donor area, they had plenty of goodies to keep my energy and hydration up while I waited. My wife was allowed to come back with me to the waiting area as well, and although she wasn't able to donate due to being anemic, they treated her with the same kindness as me.After waiting just a few minutes, my donor tech Joana called me back. She explained everything throughly, brought me some ice packs to keep my neck cool, and went over her experiences as a tech. I was very surprised at how well she performed the venipuncture since she had only been doing it for 2 years, and with this being her first job as a phlebotomy tech. I've had seasoned nurses stick me with 18 gauge needles where I almost passed out from the pain, but Joana was a pro, because I didn't feel it at all!As a seasoned phlebotomist and emt, I have to give this place cred, because it was the cleanest, most professional experience I've had in a while. As for the donation, I did feel a little weak afterwards, but they made sure I was safe, and that I sit for a while to rehydrate before leaving. I also had a small knot on my arm after I left, but I typically do that with larger bore needles, and it went away after using an ice pack. Overall it was a great experience, and I get to save a life in the process! I will definitely be back when my next appointment is due.”
“We had a wonderful time at the Houston Botanic Garden for Salsa Night. The instructor, Angel, was fun and knowledgeable. We danced a lot.
The only negative is that the bathroom is quite a distance away from the indoor space.”
“This is a great art area, a community that was once almost deserted, but was revived by a few buddies with ideas. It’s really cool, and the staff are very enthusiastic. It just opened when we went there, and we visited every A house with great works on display. I like this place very much. I like Houston, a great, diverse, inclusive, modern, and infinitely charming city. Because of this place, I fall in love with Texas even more.”
“Considering that going for testing can make one nervous, the two individuals who performed my tests made me feel comfortable.
I also appreciated the lessons regarding PREP.”

“I love this!!! I've been looking all over houston for something like this. The only one I've seen is at Memorial Park but that all the way on the north side of town.”

“Just a reminder, this lounge is only for current members of the military forces. Retirees, and VA disabled will not be allowed to enter. You must have a CAC for members and spouses must have dependent ID....The lounge is small, but it a quick way to relax, grab a snack and or other items (hygiene, information, wifi, drinks). Everytime when I enter its not really busy. The staff are very friendly and helpful.....Ooooorah!!!”
“Friendly Vet Techs,
Great Service,
And Affordable Prices.
My 4 Fur Babies get all their shots, tags, and flea/heart worm prevention from them. They're about an hour and a half away from where I live but they are worth the drive!”
“Absolutely amazing!!! And that is an understatement. They serve the community beautifully and treated myself/my student with first class respect when we volunteered. We will be back and I hope to learn from the best.”
“Title: A Haven of Support and Recovery: Houston Lambda Center - A Five-Star Gem!Review:I am thrilled to share my exceptional experience at the Houston Lambda Center, a true sanctuary for 12-step recovery programs and a multitude of other offerings. This establishment deserves nothing less than a resounding five-star review. The Houston Lambda Center provides a supportive and inclusive environment for various recovery programs, including Alcoholics Anonymous, Adult Children of Alcoholics, Alanon, Crystal Meth Anonymous, and even a yoga class. The breadth of options available ensures that individuals can find the perfect program to meet their needs and journey towards healing. One of the remarkable aspects of the Houston Lambda Center is the abundance of meetings throughout the day. From morning till evening, there is a meeting for everyone, whether they are newcomers seeking guidance or seasoned individuals with a wealth of knowledge to share. The diversity of meetings ensures that attendees can find the perfect fit for their specific needs and preferences. The Center's commitment to fostering community and connection is evident in the thoughtful amenities provided. The coffee bar, stocked with delicious snacks, coffee, and a variety of teas, creates a warm and welcoming gathering space. It's a perfect spot to socialize, recharge, and build connections with fellow attendees.I was particularly impressed by the Houston Lambda Center's dedication to improving the overall experience for its visitors. The fact that they are doubling the parking capacity at the back of the Center demonstrates their commitment to ensuring ample parking for all attendees. This proactive approach to accommodating their growing community is truly commendable. While the Houston Lambda Center caters to the LGBTQIA community, it warmly welcomes individuals from all walks of life. The inclusivity and acceptance fostered within the Center create an environment where everyone feels respected and supported. It's heartening to witness such a diverse and vibrant community coming together in pursuit of recovery and personal growth. One of my favorite features of the Center is the puzzle room. The large puzzle table and the desks with a bookcase at the back provide a peaceful and contemplative space. It offers a tranquil retreat where individuals can engage in the therapeutic process of completing puzzles while enjoying a sense of camaraderie with fellow attendees. In conclusion, the Houston Lambda Center is a true gem, offering a haven of support and recovery for individuals seeking solace and growth through 12-step programs. With a wide range of meeting options, a welcoming atmosphere, delicious refreshments, and exciting future enhancements, it is a place that embraces and uplifts its community. I wholeheartedly recommend the Houston Lambda Center to anyone on their journey towards recovery and personal transformation.”
“This program has been around for many years here in the Houston Texas area. DFSH help people who are job ready become even more confident about their interview and first day of employment. By helping them pick out the best clothing attire that fits their personality and the actual job. And also the ladies get pearls to go with their outfit. Awesome!”
“Welcoming for Veterans environment, open arms hug to their community. Today was an absolute clarification of my thoughts with VFW After speaking with Edgar Vargas, he took the time while at the same time setting up today's event together with Combined arms organization for our co-veteran community. He was so heartwarming in explaining how VFW is not only about us Veterans but also our civilian community to come together to network recourses and help cohesively Help each other.”

“This organization is a light in anyone's and everyone's life. They have and continue to help me with essentials. I pray that God continues to bless their mission, the folks involved and the clients they seek to meet the needs of by the grace of our heavenly father. Thank you CHH! ♥️”
“If you have never been to special pals you need to. They had close to (100) dogs i guess.the staff 100% . The place was clean and looked good. They take great care of all the pets in there. SO I YOU NEED A PLACE TO GIVE MONEY TO THEY COULD USE IT.”
“Last Saturday I went to early All of the People were Super Nice I have a cane they gave me a chair to vote!!!! My early voting experience was Excellent!!Thank you Tracy Gee Community Ctr ”
“Dropped in and was warmly welcomed by all the students and coach Andrew. The teaching approach was a mix of live conceptual games and drills, which helped me better understand the concepts. Love the mission and culture and will definitely be back!”
“I attended an industry presentation and luncheon here. The establishment is very stately and very well maintained. The facility is large and the catering meal and service were great.I’m sure it comes at a premium price. But recall you pay for what you get.”
“I love this fitness center! I switch from 24 hour fitness to here and never looked back!
Their pool is heated and their changing rooms are kept clean! They also have zero flooding damage on the ceiling tiles which is impressive for a building that is over 20 years old unlike other newer fitness centers in the galleria.
My favorite thing about this fitness center is the fact that the patrons don’t treat this place like it is a speed dating event so that I don’t have to spend my entire working out routine declining coffee and tea dating invitations.
Did I mentioned I love their pool already! I love their pool! I recently went to the doctor and they told me I’m prone to osteoporosis and that I have tendon loss on one of my knees likely from the years of running track since high school so swimming here has become a better alternative to costly knee surgery.
Would be cool if they had one of them climbing walls machines where the wall drops as you try to climb it but I’m not complaining. I just walk from home 1.5 miles just to weight lift and swim daily then walk back another 1.5 miles.
I only get bum out when there is bad weather bc I can’t swim and doing out of the water workouts isn’t as much fun as actually swimming.”
“Historic multi service neighborhood community center in Houston's historic 3rd Ward. Programs & activities for all ages, young children to its Elders Institute of Wisdom. Clean, accommodating comfortable spaces. Full sized kitchen with dining area, open a few days each week with various vendors. Kales kitchen, 100% vegan, serves moderately priced, freshly prepared very tasty dishes Wednesdays & Thursdays.Meeting spaces available for rental.”
“Highly recommend for any and all adoptions and fosters! Great people, fast communication, and they make the foster & adoption process flow smoothly. Also, pretty darn cute animals we rescued a dog from here and are in love!”
“Great place while my daughter was staying in the Nicu. I really enjoy the comfort it was very clean and organized . And social worker Mrs Christina was excellent to speak with .”
“I went for an interview. They didn't hire me. But I thought alot of what they're trying to do for the animals. They had a wonderful facility and seemed to care deeply. If I had the money, I would donate to them”
“CanCare is full of such caring and wonderful people wanting to make sure that any person going through cancer does not do it alone. After my father was diagnosed with a GBM, I used their services and helped me so much to have someone to talk to that knew exactly what I was going through. Emotional support is so key during these hard times and can attest to how it helped me. Thank you CanCare for connecting cancer survivors and caregivers!”
“I’ve been a member for about a year, and I like it. The facility is clean & the staff is courteous & professional. I don’t give anything I review 5 stars because nothing is perfect, but I highly recommend this facility...?”
