We highly, highly recommend Custom Home Improvements, Inc. They completed a kitchen remodel that exceeded our expectations. Shan and Charlotte are perfectionists and professionals. They listened to our ideas, using their expertise to make suggestions or guide us when we needed their professional opinions. They are trustworthy, reliable, experienced, friendly and just do an all around fabulous job. They were on site every day- checking in and speaking with their sub-contractors. They introduced the folks who would be working in our house and all of their crews treated our property carefully and respectfully- from demo to final clean up! Each morning Char would send a text confirming the day's plan and outlining progress. Their communication was excellent. We were so pleased with how wonderful the kitchen looked, that we added a redo of an upstairs bathroom floor and once again, it turned out beautifully. The entire remodel moved along every day with the job being completed a week earlier than expected. It is always stressful to live in a house while work is being done, but Shan and Char made it a painless process with a stunning result. If you are considering a refresh or a total remodel, you should choose Custom Home Improvements, Inc! We certainly plan to use them again for our next projects.

I love this team! Their professionalism, their communication and commitment to customer service and satisfaction are unparalleled. I could not be more grateful for the knowledge they have and advice they provided. This was the third time I’ve had them work on my home. I’ve previously had them redo a bathroom, home office, and tile work in my kitchen. This time they did a complete redo of my other bathroom; painted my dining room and two story living room, stairwell and hallway; installed a new ceiling fan; installed a microwave above my range (allowing for much needed counter space in my rather small kitchen), plus several other small things that really needed to be done to make my house the beautiful home I wanted.They are kind, courteous and no question that I had was too silly for them to answer and give guidance. They were always on time and even worked weekends to get the job completed on time. The skill level and workmanship has me in awe.Shanton and Char (and their crew) are the best. I am so happy with them and their work! This was the first project I had attempted all by myself so I was extremely nervous. I had a sunken living room that I had hated for years. It had the same carpet as the dining room and was old and stained. It was also a danger to me and I always had to say "watch your step" when anyone came in. I had five different contractors come and make a bid. The one I felt most comfortable with was Custom Home Improvements, Inc. They were patient, knew what they were talking about and explained to me what had to be done, how long it would take and the cost. I was impressed with their knowledge and liked them immediately. Once I decided to go with them I got to thinking about my kitchen. I didn't like that floor either. So we made an add on. Well, one by one I decided the entry hall floor had to go along with the laundry room and vanity bath. more add ons. They did not suggest those add ons or try to influence me in any way. They only wanted me to be happy with the final product. I am beyond happy. The sunken living room is no longer a danger to me or to any guest. And the rooms are beautiful,.Service: Install flooring

I picked Custom Home Improvements, Inc. over four other companies. I'm glad I did. I started out wanted my sunken living room raised and the adjoining dining room covered with tile. Then I decided I would do an add-on and replace my kitchen and breakfast room floors as well. That left only the hall, the laundry room and a vanity bath in the awake part of the house. So I decided to do them also. A door separated the sleeping quarters. I'm so glad I did it all at one time. Chan and Char guided me through it all. They did not push me to have everything done. They were willing to do whatever I wanted. It took a bit of guidance because I am elderly and was quite nervous. They held my hand, so to speak, though out it all, making sure I knew what was going to happen, guiding me through the happening and making sure I was satisfied with the results. My floors are lovely and yes I am very satisfied.

Being in the business myself, I can appreciate a good contractor and know how hard it can be to find one. I’m glad that I had Shan and CHI do my kitchen remodel and flooring project and now I wouldn’t let anyone else do any work on my home. I recommend them to everyone!

I hired CHI to build a master suite addition to my newly purchased home after they had been highly recommended by a friend. They were very knowledgeable, helpful and efficient. They laid out the time frame from the start and much to my surprise finished before their own deadline and stayed within my budget. The new addition is exactly what I had pictured and looks like it was built with the house and not as an after thought. I will use them for future home improvements and will absolutely pass the word along to everyone I know that needs a good, reliable company.

We recently hired Custom to do a kitchen remodel and remove a few walls to open up the floor plan of our home. We did a lot of research on other similar companies before we decided to go with them and we’re so glad that we did! Their prices were comparable to the other companies but we felt that they had a clear understanding of what we wanted, even advising us on what was and wasn’t possible with our expectations of the finished project. They handled everything from the very beginning - working with the architects and the city and even assisting us with our design and material selections. We highly recommend them!!!

I’d heard so many horror stories about contractors from friends and co-workers that I wasn’t sure what to expect. After contacting several other companies we decided to hire Custom Home Improvements, Inc. to do our master bathroom renovation because we felt very comfortable with them. Shan made everything so easy that all we really had to do was pick our materials, tell them what we wanted and they made it happen. We will most certainly use them on all of our future projects and have already recommended them to our friends in need of a great contractor!!

When my in laws were no longer able to live on their own, we decided to bring them to live with us but we still wanted them to maintain their independence. So we decided to build a small in law suite on our property and finding the right contractor was quite the task but we knew we had a right fit when we met with Custom Home Improvements. They were very knowledgeable and assisted us with everything from the very beginning with the designs and permits all the way through to the finished project. The results are stunning with a full kitchen, aging in place full and half bathrooms and 2 very large bedrooms. We couldn’t be happier with them and the work they do and being able to be close to our loved ones is priceless!Services: General building construction

As a senior citizen, it’s hard to know who to trust. CHI came highly recommended by a friend of mine, who is also a senior. And my friend was right! They did a beautiful wooden deck with a 2nd floor balcony. Shan is so patient and accommodating - he recommended using certain wood and paint so that I don’t have to worry about having to do a lot of up keep- which is important at my age. They are very trustworthy- showing up when they said they would and finishing on time!!Service: General construction

Custom Home Improvements did an excellent job that transformed our house. You can tell from their pictures how they opened up the space between the kitchen and the formal dining area. They meticulously matched our custom floors and crown molding. They relocated the pantry and made some custom shelves.They secured all the city permits and took all precautions to minimize dust during the demo process. When they were done, they removed all the debris and left everything clean.They are very professional and reasonably priced. They did an excellent job communicating with us throughout the process.
