THE BEST DOLLAR GENERAL IN THE AREA ?? This location is the cleanest and friendliest compared to the other dollar general stores down the street. They have everything in stock; no empty or dirty shelves or disorganization. The employees are so welcoming and helpful. When I go in, there’s always someone working hard stocking shelves and keeping aisles clean. The manager is doing an excellent job maintaining the store and making sure all customers leave with a positive experience. ??

It has become abundantly clear that this location doesn’t honor any of the posted hours of operation and they change from day to day and week to week. They also closed early all weekend. If that was the only qualm I had I wouldn’t even bother reviewing. This location consistently claims their “system is down” and it almost never has things you always find in other DG’s. The stock is super inconsistent and when asked about it “Family Dollar” would have that or “This is Dollar General” like I’m supposed to accept substandard options and service. I make this stop because after work I’m tired and it’s supposed to be convenient, but at this point it’s a 50/50 shot this place is open after 5 p.m. I’ll drive down the road 2 miles in the opposite direction of my house and the Clearwood rd. location’s system is operational. I’m not sure if it’s mis-management, poorly trained staff, or it’s just indicative of this location getting ready to close permanently or a combination thereof. It can not get any worse than not having DG staples on the shelves consistently and closing a couple hours early several days a week. The store just looks terrible and in disarray with stock strewn and stored all over the aisles and stacked in between them for weeks at a time. There is a handwritten sign on the alcohol refrigerator that requires you to replace anything you take out of it with the stock that’s just sitting in the aisle adjacent to it. I’ve tried dialing their number on multiple occasions and just get a continuous ring so I would advise not even trying to call. They have the manager’s phone number posted “for business concerns” only; I made the futile attempt in calling to no avail. I’ll drive by to look for the handwritten signs on the door and I know I need to keep driving to the Clearwood rd location. Corporate isn’t addressing any of my questions or inquiries I had about this store, so If possible I’ll continue using the other location further down Fuqua.

This store is absolutely terrible! I wouldn’t send my worst enemy here! The employees hate their jobs and even though the store was clearly posted to close at 9p… they closed at 5:30 PM Stating that the “system was down”. Which was absolutely not true because they were still ringing customers who were in the store up. There was no manager on site and the employees were resistant to give me the general managers contact number or higher authority that I could email my concerns to. One of the employees told me “oh well this is Dollar General” as if this is how they do business. Lesson learned never ever ever ever ever step foot back in this location. I have been to dollar generals before they run their store like a legitimate business who cares about their customers. I only gave it a one star because there were no lower options!

Idk why I see so many five stars… I’ve been coming here for years and lately it’s been a mess! Nothing is stocked, can’t even walk through the lanes cause they leave all this mess out and rude workers. They also never pick up the phone
