hello there, I went here a couple of months ago, and it was a wonderful time. They hosted me so kindly and we’re so considerate of me being their musicians partner. I was just there to drive my partner who was playing that night and I got a lot of service that I did not expect. they are very kind and also have amazing food and I definitely recommend you to enjoy one of their nights. I hope that you get to see live music and enjoy the culture of Houston Texas. As always much love from the universe. Ɛ>Kid-friendliness: Good for family

I ordered a burrito plate, The burrito had raw mushy hamburger meat instead of beef steak. The rice had no flavor. Refried beans tasted like they came out of a can. The other plate ordered was quesa dia. It taste like something frozen section of convenience store expired. The food at this place is not like it was before. It's really gone down. I don't recommend this place as a one for others to eat at. The food quality is really bad. I rate it -5 ☆.

This legendary Mexican restaurant has been around for quite some time in Houston. For fans of the trail blazing restaurant Felix’s, El Patio offers recipes and dishes from the Houston institution. The only changes to the dining room at El Patio over the last 30 years are the chandeliers from Felix’s dining room. For a feeling of appetite nostalgia check out El Patio.

In January I made a reservation at club no minors for 15 people for a birthday dinner in March. 2 DAYS prior to the reservation I got a call that they could no longer accommodate us because there was a private contract booked for the entire room and they "didn't notice the scheduling error until now" Good luck finding a reservation for 15 people anywhere with 2 days notice - ruined the birthday dinner and the only consolation I was offered was "I can give you guys a pitcher of margaritas" in the regular restaurant. For 15 people, 1 pitcher. I used to love coming here but this will make me never come back.

El Patio is a good spot for lunch. They’ve got some Lunch Specials that are a little high in price but unfortunately it’s on par with others. I get the Burro. It’s delicious and their chips and sauce are tasty as well. They serve their salsa cold, the way it should be served. Houston stop serving warm salsa please.

Exquisite Mexican food, my green enchiladas with chicken, accompanied by rice and refried beans, were delicious, not to mention my wife's chicken flautas, the service is first-class and the prices affordable. Highly recommended.!!!

Just finished my late lunch at El Patio and to be honest was disappointed. I ordered the chilaquiles with red sauce it looked like a red mashed up mess. It was 95% tortilla chips not even strips. The chips that were in it looked like the chips I was eating out of the basket with the sauce that they brought me when I first sat down. The service was ok. However, my server never ask me how my meal was. If he had done so I would have let him know what I thought in a nice way. The red sauce had no flavor and very little egg that I could see or find. The black beans were salty and the fajita chicken I added was very dry.The flavorful roasted potatoes on the other hand were good. Unfortunately, I didn't eat but a couple bites of the chilaquiles and in the end sent 95% of those back. The happy hour margarita on the other hand was very good although I did order on the rocks no salt and received frozen no salt but not a big deal. If I return to El Patio it'll be for the margarita happy hour special and not for the food.

If you are a die hard Houstonian like we are (69 years) you remeber Felix Mexican Rest. You also know that El Patio got the rights to continue their authentic Felix Recipes. We have eaten the authentic Felix recipe here prior to today Feb 3, 2024 and it was fantastic! Not so much anymore. Lets start with the red sauce: remember the onions floating in grease and seasoning? Well now they bring you something that tastes like ranch style bean sauce! Next the enchilada: big and fat it never was but is now! Then the famous Felix Queso: about the only thing that remains close to the original recipe except, its on a very large corn tortilla. So having said this, the old Felix Recipes are gone folks!

We were in the area and needed a great meal, so we headed to El Patio. Friends introduced us to El Patio, and the food is consistently very good. The staff is friendly and the service is quick.

* Food wasn't authentic Mexican food. * Flavor wasn't there at all. * The food wasn't presentable, looked thrown together by a mad scientist. * Haven't been back and don't intend waste my money or recommend this establishment. * You've been warned! * The system is not allowing me to go further unless I added a star. I wouldn't give 1 star, honestly.
