The quality and the quantity of items this store carries could be garbage and this place would still get 5 stars from me. Staff is beyond generous. They are friendly and remember your preferences. They also take requests meaning they will start carrying something you asked for that they didn't have previously.

Very nice place. While having slight sketchiness in the parking lot other than that good customer service and Workers are very good I also like how you can get everything you need and want while still being a small corner store

Ken stayed open during the winter storm. He knew the storm was coming and spent the night in the store so he would not have to drive through the ice and be able to remain open the following day. And although he lost power he took out his calculator and proceeded to make sales for people able to make cash payment. I walked to his store the day after the storm to purchase wood and coal, and I was short a couple of dollars. Ken did not hesitate to let me just take the supplies I needed. And that is what HOUSTON STRONG is all about. Much love to him, his family and his business. A staple to the woodland heights community for sure. <3

Convenient store with all the necessities you might need in a pinch. Great snack and wine/beer selection. Owners are incredibly nice people which def makes you happy to support this small business.

Love this place! Super convenient! Yes there is a mark up. That's also part of the convenience factor. They have a great selection of beer and wine. Ken and his wife are great people who take pride in what they do and keep the place clean.

Stopped in for a half gallon of milk. 200% plus markup ($3.49 for a half gallon) but as to be expected for the concept. Super convenient to Woodland Heights and significantly less sketch than the Walgreens on Fulton (@Quitman). Milk was obviously freshly stocked as expiration date was nearly 2 weeks out. As other reviewers have noted, they have a large selection of wine and cold beer and my guess is this is really how they make their money. Good option for a fast pickup of 1-2 common groceries but price prohibitive if you need more.

A staple of the neighborhood and a wonderful family who run the place. The man and woman are always friendly and carry a conversation.
