I have been going to this HEB since the first opened and there has been a couple of outstanding young employees. I should have posted their names and how helpful they were. Today a young man by the name of Gabriel was all smiles and helpful to me and the cashier. I asked if he could help me to the car and there was no hesitation like so many have done. He pushed my basket and unloaded it, he was kind and even had words of encouragement after he patiently listened to me vent about no handicap parking ever and my pain. He went beyond his job description! What a wonderful young man!

The sides like mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese were good the entrees were notI got the pineapple chicken and the French fries + beef the fries are mid af as you would expect from fries sitting out more than 30 minutes the beef was inedible I spit it outI didn’t even try the chicken after the beef I ended up giving it to the dogsI saw this place on a Reddit comment and the only saving grace is the sides and the cheap price

I purchased a Drum fish from the HEB Gulfgate seafood dept. on Saturday, Feb. 18, 2023. Apparently they did not want to scale and filet the fish. I was told to pay for the fish first then walk the receipt back to the seafood dept. and wait for them to assist me. I made them aware that I had limited mobility and they didn't seem to care. I made it to the check out, paid for the entire purchase and waited 20 minutes for them to filet the fish. It never happened. I asked for a refund from the front end manager. I was totally appalled at the treatment for this HEB seafood dept. A disabled person doesn't have a prayer in hell in getting assistance at this store.I will NEVER patronize this store again!

Maybe for your IN STORE shopping needs but DO NOT CURBSIDE from this location!!! Especially if you have a time frame or babies in need of what you're ordering! The wait time once you arrive is insane. The staff that comes out is so sweet, nice and apologetic so I don't blame them but the system needs to get it together and BETTER STAFF the curbside to alleviate this issue!!!
