Went to pick up some of the meat specials. They were all out, and there wasn't anyone in the meat department to help. The cashier didn't speak any English, which made the checkout process a little uncomfortable.

I would like to share my concerns involving the MANY food safety hazards i've come across within this foodarama as someone who frequently still goes here cause it's cheaper for certain things. I've come across a variety of moldy, oxidized, or opened food, such as cheese, canned biscuits, various lunchmeats/salami, just today there was an opened bag of marshmallows that was set in a discount cart I noticed. Not to mention fresh goods such as the bags of discount fresh veggies they sell, they're almost always rotten or moldy, & to be honest I've noticed a lot of fresh stuff that's new (not discounted) that's already terrible looking (wilted greens, moldy onions etc) & don't even get me started on the meat...
This foodarama has a habit of NOT marking down & selling things when that need to be, fresh meat is one of these. I always come across fully browned meat & it's completely over-priced. & that's not even the worst honestly, we had a storm a few weeks ago, they lost power in some of the cold sections I guess, well one of my family members went there to find that all the fresh meat was just sitting there for hours, it was already warm & soft. They didn't even bother to put anything in freezers/coolers in the back, no, they were STILL selling the meat. One of the last things I want to touch on is my concern for the packaging/distribution/sell by dates of baked goods. Today I purchased a 10 pack of fresh birthday cupcakes that was on sale, they tasted so old...I looked at the date it said sell by the 18th it's only the 22nd Today, but then I looked at WHEN they were made/packaged, IT WAS THE 18TH OF MAY. I'm no expert but I do know that fresh baked goods DO NOT last that long. This was not a brand, no, this was a package of cupcakes specifically baked for & sold by foodarama, & I just gotta ask like what is up with dates for this stuff to be sold?
I hate having to write all of this but the concerns for this place are rising every week I go, I love foodarama & i'm so grateful this one is near my house, but the managers have shown little concern about these issues & I never see the employees do anything except sit at the cash register. PLEASE for the safety of customers i hope something changes with the management here.

I don’t shop here often and every time I do it’s a bad experience I just bought some pancake mix and as you can see in the photos all these bugs were in the mix apart from that also be careful with their meats as well last time I bought meat it smelled very bad throwing up kind of bad this was probably my 2nd time buying from this store and won’t ever go back

This store is filthy. The vegetables and fruits are always rotten or nasty looking. This store needs to do better on sanitizing also

I've been coming to this foodarama for 12 years because it's within one block of my house. I come here a few times a week. Today I tried to redeem my coin star ticket after redeeming my coins, and tried to purchase an item in the process. The cashier was really really rude (Older Asian) lady. Shooted me away with her hand like I was a fly or peasant. And proceeded to tell me to go to the coin star area. When she had no guest in line, nor was busy. After going through the coin star area, I went to a different line to purchase a drink. (Mind you I redeem it ALL the time in the cashier line) I told the manager what happened. (Short Hispanic male) older as well. He has even redeemed my tickets in the past for the coin star. He COULD CARE less. Couldn't look me in the eyes. Just looked down the whole time, and told me "I should read the receipt" of the coin star receipt. No apology, or sympathy or anything. Don't know why there is no accountability from upper management , when they have a inconsistent policy.This was my first experience of the New Year. Zero lack of leadership was put on full display today. And makes sense why the customer service was so sub par today. Going foward I rather spend more money, and go elsewhere. Thanks, Steven

Most of the time, there will be offers available for veggies, fruits and other items. It seems, however, that they do not know how to market their products effectively and how to create an ambience. Only a few of the staff members are friendly, however. In fact, I shop often because I love to get my pasta, vegetables, and flour for a good price. They need to make an ambience and do proper marketing in order for it to be more crowded.

Foodarama is pretty awesome for an independent grocery. One major change in the Beechnut location, produce had been significantly reduced in size. Their produce is still top notch.Cashier was extremely friendly.
