About Genoa Friendship Gardens
Genoa Friendship Gardens is a beautiful oasis and demonstration garden in southeast Houston. It is maintained by the Harris County Master Gardeners on behalf of the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service. The gardens feature vegetables, flowers, an orchard, a greenhouse, native plants, water features, and fruit trees. It is an excellent and enjoyable place to learn, view trial plants, and ask knowledgeable Master Gardeners questions. The garden also holds plant sales and donates vegetables to a local food pantry. Visiting this free garden is a pleasure.

Come on over and visit the master gardeners every Monday and Wednesday from 9:00-11:00am. I am developing a native plant landscaping bed, with a focus on gardening with nature in mind. I’ll show you how you can replace some of the turfgrass in your lawn with easy to grow native groundcovers.

I took a class at the gardens today, great location, lots of native plants, very enjoyable. I loved the Corpus Christi fleabane, which was new to me!
