George Bush Intercontinental Airport is Houston’s largest airport, a major transportation hub with extensive domestic and international service. It holds a 4-star Skytrax rating. The experience for passengers varies. Many report excellent experiences, describing the staff as very polite and approachable, including gate agents, TSA agents, and custodial and rental car staff. Security processing is often noted as smooth, with both PreCheck and regular lines flowing well. The airport offers a lot of shopping and dining options, and some terminals are being renovated. However, ongoing construction for a long time can make getting in and out a trial. After international arrival, the process can require patience, with reports of yelling TSA officers and no TSA Pre-check available after customs. The airport is also an almost 45-minute drive from downtown. Despite some frustrations, many passengers have had great experiences and look forward to flying through IAH again.
I had a smooth experience at George Bush Intercontinental Airport. The security check was fast and easy, and the check-in process was straightforward without any hassle. The airport overall was clean, well organized, and comfortable to navigate. A good experience from start to finish.
