Took my wife's subaru in for its first scheduled maintenance and I was amazed at what was done to her car. I received pictures, documented checks, etc. They even asked if I wanted the car washed. It made me feel glad we chose Gillman Subaru Southwest.

⭐ 1 STAR — Misrepresented Vehicle Trim / Dishonest Listing
I purchased a 2016 Toyota Camry that was advertised and sold as an SE trim. The Carfax they provided also listed it as an SE. After buying the car cash, I discovered the vehicle is actually an LE, which is a lower-value trim.
Trim level is not decoded from the VIN—it is entered manually by the dealership. Meaning the incorrect SE listing originated from Gillman Subaru’s inventory. Carfax simply repeated the dealer’s mistake.
When I informed them, I received an email from my salesman Davante Hudson stating “it was a “Toyota VIN decoding issue,” which is not true. Instead of accepting responsibility, they offered me $500, which does not cover the actual difference in value.
This was misleading advertising, caused financial loss, and has shaken my trust in this dealership.
I have filed complaints with the Texas DMV and BBB.
Consumers deserve honest representation of the vehicles they buy. Please double-check any listings before purchasing here.

Don't trust this dealer said they would hold a car if I submitted application and ended up selling the car to someone else. False advertisement.

I have been under the impression that the inspection fee will be waived if I select to perform a service at your shop, so I select one of the recommended maintenance services and then got surprised that there is another $200ish inspection fee as that wouldn't be waived unless I select a repair. The other issue is the diagnosis didn't give me any new info or methodically illustrate how the technician concluded that we have to replace the sensors. though I mentioned that I have replaced 2 sensors and swapped them and if the sensor was the issue it would have moved the code along to its new location, so the diagnosis is completely useless and do not pin point the issue, I do know how to read the obdii codes thank you, I don't need to pay $200ish for someone to read them for me. I frankly feel I got robbed today.

Really pleasant experience here getting service. Took about an hour for an oil and filter change and vehicle inspection. Make sure to check the specials online. Ana was a good and efficient service manager and I will be back for future work on my Subaru.

Came down from Austin to purchase a 2025 BRZ tS after dealing with Austin Subaru dealers. Jonathan Rachal was excellent to work with; truly a professional in every sense of the word. Negotiation was quick and painless, and was probably one of the easiest vehicle purchases I've ever made. Would highly recommend Gillman Southwest.

Tim at Subaru is an absolute gem. I went in because my lease was ending, and he walked me through every single option without an ounce of pressure. We ended up buying out my lease, and he made the whole thing feel easy, calm, and honestly super fun.
I had my son with me and a friend, and we were there for a hot minute. Tim somehow managed to keep us all entertained, laughing, and totally at ease while also talking me through the smartest financial choices. He felt like a long-lost family member — the helpful one who actually knows what he’s doing.
Since then, he’s helped me get new tires, a new windshield, and even helped me pick out this rooftop tent I’m now obsessed with. He’s friendly, wildly accommodating, and unbelievably knowledgeable. If you want someone who genuinely cares and goes above and beyond every step of the way, Tim’s your guy. Highly recommend. Also, he loves the Eagles! Go Birds!
