Pleasant wait staff, food was good and prepared surprisingly quick.Parking: Many of the parking spots are relegated to the other businesses in the strip center. Can be a challenge to find parking.

I went on a dinner date for my bday with my significant other. The ambiance was on point from the moment we walked in. The waiters were so quick, friendly and just on their job 1000%. That's what I appreciated the most is how efficient the waiters are. Ours was very attentive and knowledgeable with the menu. They sang happy bday to me and gave me a complimentary slice of cheesecake which was delicious. My food was just OK nothing that blew my mind, I ordered the Veal San Pietro. My dates dish was actually tastier than mine which was the Paglia E Fieno Con Pollo. The signature drink Peach Bellini was soooo good. What I liked the most was the service it made us want to go back and definitely try something else on the menu

I hadn't been in Houston in almost 4 years, we are living overseas now. Needing a quick lunch we decided on Grotto. We used to go often, we liked it a lot. How was it a couple of days ago? It was "good", without being outstanding. Adequate, period. If anything my pasta with pesto lacked a little kick. My husband's salad came all chopped in tiny pieces, set in rows on the plate as if prepared for a small child. It was bizarre. The taste, he said, was "ok". The service was great, as it has always been. Prompt and attentive. As for the atmosphere, well it was the same decoration from when they opened. I left thinking that Grotto is due for a renewal.

I have been here several times over the years and even hosted a couple event in the private room over the years and the service has always been great. However last night I was sitting down for such a long period of time. It was an hour and I hadn't order my meal because my server never came to my table and was never around to even flag him down. When he finally came to my table I was so annoyed that I just asked for the check for my drinks and we left without having dinner. By far not the best experience.

Favorite Houston restaurant by far! Servers treat you so well, food is on par with pastas we had in Rome, and don't forget to try the Italian Cassata cake for dessert. You wont regret it.

We had a Margherita pizza and added pepperoni to it. This is the best pizza I've ever eaten!!! The flavor of the crust, the fresh roma tomatoes and fresh basil along with the delicious mozzarella cheese and the saltiness of the pepperoni made our meal absolutely delicious!!! Add in the freshly baked bread and olive oil dip and our calamari appetizer, made for a fabulous meal!!! The service was excellent, the ambiance perfect and woodfired pizza was simply awesome. Thank you for the superior experience!!!!!

Went here for Valentines dinner with my husband. We had heard how great this place was and made a reservation way in advance due to the holiday. We live in Atlanta, love Italian and have some great Italian food back home. We were convinced this was going to be so much better than Atlanta. Wrong. We were disappointed with food. The restaurant was packed, the ambiance was very bright—that romantic dinner I thought we would have—nope. Food was o k. If I hadn’t had legit Italian food before, I probably would have liked it more. My husband got a dish that he usually loves that is an Italian staple-Amatriciana and I got the cacciao e Pepe, another staple (forgive my spelling errors). They were really underwhelming. I think my Pepe dish (Pepe is “pepper”) had 11 flakes of pepper on it…both are easy dishes to make, and they were not well done. The service was great though. The experience was good the food was just…not. Whatever they brought us as a complimentary dessert was amazing though. Collectively, I wouldn’t go back.

Food and waiter was good. But hostess was rude. Had a reservation. And the table we got was exactly in front of the kitchen door which had a lot of traffic, as expected. I asked the hostess to seat us at the corner table. She said, it was reserved. I had a reservation too. And then, she stated that someone had requested that table. We ate and left and never saw anyone else being sat at that corner table. It wasn't a big deal but hostess attitude needs correction, especially when I wasn't being a rude customer.
