i stopped in to GC yale street in Houston on Christmas Eve. NOBODY in store. two employees were having a conversation...so i had to wait before they acknowledged me! Show redhead girl started helping me then took a call on store phone and just walked off!!! WTF!!!! That was my last bad experience with this store. there are sooo many. too many to list here. stay away. buy online!!!

The worst store, and the worst service I have ever experienced a bunch of kids who don’t care about selling and don’t know anything about music. I will never shop there again or at any guitar center.

Poor customer service! After I waited 40 mins. I wanted to sell this pdp kit! And the store owner Mary offered me 120 dollars for a pdp satin kit 5 peice, saying the kit was in poor condition! Also the kit was full I've eveans g2s too and bottom. Mead on bass drum! You be the judge.

One guy finally helped me. What I needed was in the glass cases. I purchased it but it wasn't what I needed. I took it back. Honestly, I'd rather buy online :( I only come here for urgent purchases otherwise I'll order it and wait to get it. Easier to price compare.

One of the two real popular stores in this center, of course, is the guitar store. From the outside you can appreciate all the beautiful guitars. Looks like a haven for musicians. The other place is the World Market, which is definitely fascinating with all types of imports. You will enjoy the browsing. It will be difficult leaving without buying something. They do have quite a list of regular clients.

The staff here is always super helpful and courteous and they make it a real pleasure to drop by and test out acoustic basses (2 in stock today; noice!). Will almost certainly be buying my next instrument here. Great place to hang and jam.

Went in for a return, guy gave me "Credit on Account" I asked if I can use it at another store or online and he said YES. Go to try and redeem my credit online, I can't. Talk to CS, they say I have to go in and get a gift card. So head to a guitar center - get in a hit in run and then the item I wanted to buy has sold. So basically fuck you home dude had long dark hair, glasses, skinny to medium build.. assuming in management since other associates kept coming up to him asking how to handle a situation. You owe me a rear bumper and good deal on DW5000 pedal. Wouldn't of had to make this wasted trip if it wasn't for this POS wanted to keep the sales in their own store.

I called in advance to try and sell an electric drum kit with a minor break, they said it would be alright to bring it in. But when I got there they wouldn't accept it because it was an "electric drum set" with little to no explanation. I used to shop here frequently but they have become a very unprofessional business and I wouldn't recommend it to anybody. I'm very disappointed at what this place has become and the people who work here.

Staffs not helpful, not friendly, they low ball you on trade in. They won't take great gear because they have no guitar tech. I literally went to Rockin Robin got the part I needed fixed the amp in about 15 minutes then decided to keep it cause it's a great tube amp. You kind of sit around waiting for someone to do something. I asked the manager sitting in front of someone could get me the item I was waiting he said wait for a sales associate then just went back to twiddling his thumbs. They wouldn't take my passport as a form of ID to trade in because it's not store policy I have to have a "state issued Id" which is in fact not true. These guys run a master class on how to drive away business. I came in with hundreds of dollars worth of gear and buy more and I ended up leaving with nothing but frustration. Following day I went to the westheimer location and totally different experience. Helpful, friendly, decent price on trade ins. This store has my business even though it's considerably further then the Yale location.

I signed on to try lesson for a month! I was never told they'd be TAKING/STEALING my money if I weren't taking lesson the next month and after that.The way I found out was ; the 3rd month they tried to STEAL MY MONEY it wasn't in the bank!I'm a veteran! I'm on a budget! That's why I only signed up for 1 month $119.I took my guitar to 1st lesson and was told by Cassy and Carlos(Instructer) I couldn't use my guitar! I know its an eye sore, but I play it everyday at home!Anyway , I agreed! They gave me this big guitar to practice on! When I asked for one COMFORTABLE (like mine) he said...they didn't have one ! Okay...this is a GUITAR STORE I thought , but didn't say that! I was reminded for 3 sessions I could BUY a new guitar and I needed a practice book!My last session I thanked Carlos for helping me. (He knew it was my LAST SESSION because I reminded him! I told him at first I was just trying it out! I remember saying at 3rd lesson...I have one more lesson to go!) I said ...Goodbye!2 months later, I saw where they STOLE MY MONEY the next month! And they tried the month AFTER that to STEAL SOME MORE MONEY for lessons I NEVER HAD! This THIEF failed!I went there 3 times! I talked with 3 different managers! They gave me the RUN AROUND! The last one did give me a number to call! I talked the lady. She assured me I would recieve my money back for LESSON I NEVER TOOK! I still haven't recieve MY MONEY THEY STOLE!I'll give it a few more days before ACTION IS DONE!Please Beware!Blessings !

Customer service needs improvement, and when I purchased an item they told me I could return item with the package and receipt it has been only a week and they didn't accept my return and didn't offer anything for the miscommunication, they just kept saying no. The manager, Daniel, didn't help out at all or apologize; they just pretty much want you to pay but no customer service if you need to return or exchange.

Great atmosphere whether you're a beginner or seasoned pro. The staff is super helpful, knowledgeable ... and musicians themselves. They like getting to know their customers and aren't solely focused on making a sale...which of course leads to actual sales. Lots of them. Great job, guys.

Wouldn't take my return (was longer than 45 days so I totally understood). However the employees told me they would buy it back from me for around 1/4 of the price. So I agreed. After an additional 30 min of having me follow them, watch them test the product, them agreeing to paying me a certain amount, they then proceed to tell me they won't buy it back after all. Didn't say they were sorry and just handed me back my product. Super rude customer service
