Very bad customer service coming from the manager on night shift, went in for a last minute cake real quick for my husbands birthday so asked the manager for assistance for it and manager said that they were closed on bakery and that there was nothing he could do to help me which i understand that bakery is closed but only thing i needed was for cake to be boxed, all cakes had price tag ready only thing needed was the box so therefore i had to bring my cake boxless. Very bad customer service dont think i was asking for much manager just didnt want to provide cuatomer service at all.

I do love HEB above all other grocery chains here in SE Texas, but the Gulfgate location is in dire need of an update. When this store expanded its Curbside service, it restricted the exits for instore shopping. The cash register stations direct customers directly in front of the exit doors and create a bottle neck that could become dangerous. This location needs and warrants an updated floorplan and/or an expansion. It strains to meet the needs of this community.

I paid almost $30 for this cake. Simple with no decorations and onky two colors. The icing on the birthday message ribbon was melting. The message itself was wrong - I asked for a three short words to make it easy for them. But they still got it wrong.The two people at the bakery looked new and inexperienced. I am guessing they are understaffed and they were left without a more experienced baker helping them with the orders. Not their fault. The store should hire enough staff.

I have been a loyal customer of the Gulf Gate H-E-B store for nearly 20 years, but after my recent experience, I will not be returning. I purchased some dinosaur ribs from the Washington Street store, as they were unavailable at Gulf Gate. Upon attempting to return the meat on Thanksgiving morning due to quality concerns, I was met with an unpleasant encounter with Michael Cantu, the store's "center leader." He refused to refund, exchange, or provide store credit, citing that the item was not sold at the Gulf Gate location. Despite my proximity to the store, I will no longer consider it my primary grocery destination. I may return for essential items in a pinch, but thats it. I left HEB their spoiled beef fyi.

Mom and I went grocery shopping on 10/30 , she was Rudely approached by a elder employee Woman in the meat dept approx 3pm . Mom was trying to look at the meat, when she was rudely asked to move around her.All my mom was simply trying to do . was to locate a particular piece / cut of meat. She was extremely RUDE . these employees need to have manners. I can shop at Fiesta with no rude employees.

I only go to this HEB because it is near me. Most of the time, I will go shopping at another location due to lack of quality items here and they are slacking in customer service.This location does not have most of their items in stock and rarely has the variety/quality of most HEB products other locations carry. The people who work here are not very helpful and the store is dirty most of the time.If you need a fast option for groceries, only buy what you need quickly here. If you are looking for quality specialty foods that HEB provides, Do not go to this store.I would recommend driving the extra 5-10 miles to another HEB location.

I want thank young man who found my mom cellphone. It was honest of him to have hold on to it. I'm greatly appreciate of cart guy who my mom had drove off . Realized her phone was gone and drove back to stores..searched parking lot asked all guys. Until young man gathering buggy saw my mom. Handed it to her. Heb has amazing employee..I don't know his name. He was tall sinder young man, wearing yellow tshirt. With curly hair and hispanic

Had a really rude cashier her name was as “Jackie 0” she had glasses, and a high calorie body shape. She was going off cuz we got in her lane of “15 or less” when we had ab 15 items. She was talking ABOUT US very loudly and complaining to the other cashier of why we were in her line RIGHT ON FRONT OF US. She wanted us to know she was talking ab us. Luckily I’m saved, I’m still from $outheast tho so y’all need to handle that cuz everyone ain’t as saved as me. I complained to the manager/supervisor on duty and she confirmed that it wasn’t Jackie’s first time receiving a complaint ab her that same day. I stopped going to that HEB cuz after going back the following week she was still there. I don’t need to spend my hard earned money where you keep incompetent and rude employees like that around. If there has been multiple complaints on the same person then HEB CLEARLY doesn’t care ab their customers. Fairmont has much better customer service and it’s much further for me but I rather go to a place that is peaceful with nicer people. Gulfgate store layout is horrible. Everyone got an attitude cuz we’re always in each others way. It’s not worth the hassle
