Very poor customer service. Was not able to help with reservations. Was told to "go over there and make a new reservation on your phone" and then I can help you. Had to do that three times!!! Should have made a new reservation with another company that had better customer service. Would not recommend this location at all. Hertz you can do better!

I rent from this location often due to proximity to my house, though my husband prefers IAH. However, tonight, Toby- (didn't get his last name but he is an Army vet), reinforced why I will continue to rent here. I left my I-watch in my rental and raced back up there an hour after I noticed. I was so thankful He found it. I am grateful for honest employees such as Toby. Thanks again!!!!

Ok , I think my rental experience was top notch although I got a simple rental. I made reservations online, went to location, almost like checking in they gave me my papers told me were to get the car, keys in the vehicle drove to gate checked out gone. This was at the Hertz at the airport in Houston. When I brought it back it was just as easy.

Very shady location. Picked up a car which went fine. There were scratches on the car , which I marked. During drop-off, the lanes with receipt were blocked intentionally , with cars facing the wrong way. Only the e-return lanes where open so I dropped off my car. I left the car in the same condition as I got it and I had filled up the gas. 3-4 employees were just standing around . As I walked past, a man introduced himself as the manager and said that I will get an email to review. And if I can complete the review right away. I said ok and didn't think much of it.I did complete the review and gave them positive ratings but then this Hertz location charged me for $156 for "fuel and service " which now I have to deal with calling corporate. It's just ridiculous and a bogus charge . First just avoid Hertz going forward, but if you have to then take photos of everything and demand to use the lane with a printed receipt. And do not complete a positive survey. Wait until at least 2 weeks to do the survey.

I oversee the corporate switchboard for a corporate headquarters. A male from this Houston Hobby Airport location phone number 713-948-5300 called our corporate headquarters this afternoon over and over, harassing our operator and being abusive, using expletives and foul language. He also called multiple times from another number, presumably his cell phone. This is completely unacceptable, unprofessional, and intolerable. It's also unacceptable that Hertz provides no way to contact anyone at that location to report the extreme concern about this person. When we called Hertz, we were told there is no phone support to report complaints and given customerrelations@hertz.… but our email came back as "mailbox full please try again later". Nice...These two phone numbers have been reported to our corporate security as from an abusive caller originating from this Hertz Houston location. If we receive any more such calls they will be reported to local Houston police.

Terrible experience picking up a rental at Hobby Airport. Our flight was very delayed and arrived very late at night. We had two 4 year olds, plus all of our baggage and two car seats at 1 am, stuck at Hobby Airport. Hertz was closed, but there were no signs saying they were closed. So we waited for the shuttle but it never came. There was no one to speak to, not even on the 800 number. It was awful. We were stuck in Houston at 1 AM with no car and two kids. I had to call an Uber, I spent about $100 on the Uber from the airport to our destination. I prepaid the rental car for 8 days, so one day was lost. I was fortunately able to pick up the rental car the next day after finding someone nice enough to give me a 45 minute ride back to the airport. There is an extreme lack of customer service at Hertz Car Rental. Also no one EVER answers the phone at the Hobby airport location. Once I picked up the car from Hertz everything was fine. The drop off was easy and there were no surprise charges on my cc bill. However, the lack of available customer service is shocking. It was very late when we arrived and we wasted so much time trying to figure out if Hertz was even open. There should be signs telling customers the shuttle stops at a certain time. There should be a live person to speak with on the 800 number for emergency situations. I don't think I'll ever rent from Hertz again.

I rent where I can find a deal and as of late, I've got a few good deals out the Hertz at Hobby Airport. This is a sister company to Thrifty across the street where I get alot of my rentals from, but the difference in inventory and service is like night and day. Service can be slow, but atleast the people are friendly and there's always someone around to help. Every time I have rented here, I have gotten free upgrades and the cars are just about brand new. I will say I wish they would wash and clean the cars alot more thorough than they do. These days, it seems to be the same at all the rental places though. I just rent the night before and give it a nice clean before hitting the road. I still haven't found that perfect car rental spot yet, but this one isn't all that bad. I would rent here again.

I don't recommend getting a rental with Hertz. We rented a car and got a flat tire. We call Hertz Roadside Assistance and the said they were sending a tow truck and ETA was in an hour. We patiently wait and 2 hours later WE calk for an update and they said initial tow truck cancelled. 4 hours later, a tow truck arrives, 1 min later, we get another call from a different towing company that's 90 mins out. The towing company ALREADY here, decides to leave as he hadn't gotten paid for the job. We were stuck another 2 hours. Don't rent from here.

Horriable rental service and shit customer service!!!! I rented a car for $432 at 2pm and a couple hours after I got the car I was rear ended at 5:25 pm Filed a police report and exchange the car around 6-7pm. They added a $400 smoking fee!! I'm a young women who does not smoke!!! Especially with no time to in a rental car that I had for a few hours?!? I talked to the manager in a wheel chair and was told it was be resolved. No name no direct phone number was given and no one reached out like he said. scamming bs!!! Now i'm going through the bank with evidence to fight this. It's bs DO NOT RENT FROM THESE Aholes!!!!
