That I wouldn’t be able to get a rental not sure of the lady’s name cause they do be discrete and try to hang up fast but no talk about making it right or anything!!!I believe there doing this to get cancellations fees the BBB WILL BE HEARING FROM ME!!!

Do not rent from here. I booked weeks ago and showed up only to be told they didn’t have a vehicle for me. No solutions were offered. No compensation was offered. I was told I had to wait. After 2 hours, I was given a vehicle that was a lower class than I had reserved. My luggage barely fit in the trunk. And I was only offered $10 off my original booking price for a sub-par vehicle. While I waited they called at least 6 other customers to let them know they couldn’t fulfil their reservation as they had no vehicles available.

They cancelled my reservation less than 24 hours from when I needed it because “they have no more cars on their lot”. Now I have to scramble to find a replacement.

Didn’t have the car I reserved. My options were to pay for an upgrade or call the help desk and have them find me another location and again, I would be the one to pay to get there. I will ever use or recommend hertz again for the rest of my life.

Rented a car throught a fleet company, they were supposed to put me in a car about the same size of the company car. I expressed my concern to them but the car they gave me couldnt fit half of the stuff I needed to fit in the trunk. I called back to ask if I can have another car and thwy said they'll put me along a waiting list for the next day and they'll call me back. Noone ever did. The staff is nice but the car abilibility is very low at this location.

Bringing this back because I don’t know how they are still allowed to operate, Just a really horrendous experience overall. Needed to get to a funeral for a friend, Hertz reps in Houston don’t care AT ALL. I had my reservation confirmed at this location. I called at 8 in the morning to check if there would be something available slightly earlier. They said no and that I would need to come at the designated pickup time of 12. That was totally fine. I Uber over at 12 to the location only to find out there would be nothing available for hours. I never received a call from the staff to let me know before I paid money to get there that this was the case. Of course this is extremely upsetting because we had family engagements and a funeral to get to. The manager Johnny and other hertz rep Juwan were incredibly unprofessional and showed no care toward the fact that they were literally leaving people stranded with no solutions. They Juwan tried to gaslight me and say that they told me to call an hour before which they did not. What company doesn’t call customers to let them know services could not be followed through on? They are running a scam here. Johnny also “threatened to sue me” because I was recording the situation to ensure I had appropriate documentation for reimbursement for corporate. It has been almost two hours at this point in an extremely uncompassionate situation where anyone would be incredibly upset. I then call corporate to schedule a car at a new location. I ask Hertz corporate line to ensure they call the next branch to check availability. They ensured there would be a car at the next location. There was not. So again I spent money to Uber back and forth only to be inconvenienced again. The manager at the previous location Johnny, gave me Bobby Dumas’s number, the district manager for the region. She then apologies for the inconvenience and let’s me know “they are trying to get everyone in a car” and that she would call me back with an update. She did not and left me hanging the rest of the night and proceeds to report me to Hertz. It is truly tragic that people could not care about leaving people stranded like this and be so negligent about customer concerns. I hope Hertz addresses this situation and fires everyone involved. I will never be renting from Hertz in Houston again and will be filing complaints with the Attorney General as well as BBB. Trust the reviews, do not rent here.

This Hertz location is a.trap. Do not go there! I had a reservation for manager special for an electric vehicle, but was told that they didn't have any electric vehicles. They told me I could switch to a non-electric vehicle, but have to pay the difference of $20-30 daily. This is the second time they did this to me. p.s. Don't be fooled by the manager's response that will follow this post. They will NEVER improve their services. The service this location provides to Hertz customers is practically a joke. Because customer surveys from Hertz are only sent to those who have completed the rentals, Hertz headquarters is not aware of how bad the image of Hertz has been tarnished by this location.

This location has been taking care of me since my car was totaled in September 2024. They have been so courteous and helpful. Continue To Do A Great Job This Location. If Anyone Is In Need Of A Rental, I Suggest Hertz Rental On South Main Street. They Will Take Care Of You…

Have never felt discriminated in my entire life until now. We went to this Hertz location at South Main St. after Westin Galleria called me up and told me they have no car even when I have a confirmed reservation. Hertz chat agent made a new reservation for me at South Main St. We went there but we’re told that there are people she’s waiting who’ll pick up her cars and she is closing up at 12pm. We’ve waited hoping that the people will not arrive before she closes. At 12pm, we’re asked to leave as she’s closing up even when there’s still one car available. She told us she’s expecting another customer. But she’s closing at 12pm. We even saw her leaving the location. Why can’t she just give us her last car then? Why didn’t she extend a bit of kindness to us, Asians? Does it really matter that we don’t look like her - like all the other customers she served while we’re there? Very disappointing.

Avoid this location! Had a reservation of mid-size SUV at 11am, came at 10:30, no cars available. Waited until 1pm, still no cars. The wait is long. Staff are processing slowly.
