Main course of food was good as usual and as of any house of pies but the chocolate fudge cake with ice cream of does very disappointed

So much variety in the menu, I've enjoyed each meal I've ordered from multiple different locations. Never disappointed with the decision to dine at House of Pies.

If you like diner food in a very clean atmosphere with amazing service and food that is always spot on this is the place. The only real negative is parking lot security or lack of it

For fifty years and counting, this iconic spot has been baking pies and feeding Houstonians 24 hours a day. Expect a line out the door for weekend brunch and anticipate customers around the building --- with TV reporters on board --- the day before Thanksgiving when it looks like half of the city is picking up pies for the holiday. Walk in and you'll immediately encounter the glass case filled with the forty different pies on the menu, some topped with six-inch-high meringue. There are cakes, cookies and brownies to tempt as well, and plenty of good old-fashioned diner food. Need something to soak up last night's libations? House of Pies is your spot for chicken fried steak and eggs, corned beef hash, biscuits and gravy and platters of waffles. You can also order lunch and dinner plates at any time: burgers, sandwiches, salads, and steak or chicken with baked potatoes and grilled vegetables. Just don't forget the pie.
