OMG, the Houston Arboretum is absolutely amazing! ? It's a nature lover's paradise. The trails are so serene and picturesque, surrounded by lush greenery and beautiful flowers. And guess what? I was lucky enough to spot an adorable armadillo during my visit! ? It was such a unique and memorable experience. Whether you're into birdwatching, hiking, or just enjoying the tranquility of nature, the Houston Arboretum is the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. The parking in the lot here is very easy you can pay through the mobile app or at a pay station. You definitely don't want to miss it! ??

Nice place within the city to go for a short hike and explore several well curated ecosystems. Has around 5 miles of winding trails through 150+ acres with a prairie, woods, and wetlands. Did 2.5 miles in about an hr and a half, saw numerous butterflies and some squirrels. Lots of activities for children. Free entry, paid parking.

This is a beautiful place to visit while in the Downtown area! It is a well designed nature park with ample parking if you come early in the day. I did not visit the Nature Center on this trip, instead I came to simply walk the trails and soak in some sunlight. The trails are easy to access from the parking area and there are shorter trails and longer ones. I enjoy the views and the wildlife! A memorable part of Downtown Houston ?

My sister and I took Kelsey Lowe’s Beginner Birding class and it was great. She was very knowledgeable and clearly has a deep passion for the hobby. The class was informative but fun and lighthearted. Also, the facilities are fantastic. Almost brand new and very clean. On our way out we stopped to look at a bearded dragon and some toads that were just out on display in their enclosures. We will definitely be back for more classes and programming, it seems like they offer a lot of these.

A great way to experience the Houston wooded scene. The arboretum is almost like a natural preserve with several restoration activities. Great for quick short hikes. The pathways are either gravel or boardwalk type and so not very challenging. The loops are easy to navigate and are well marked. Several things to do and watch while there. Also several areas for youngsters to play and hang and enjoy. A good city area relief to get away from the bustle. Parking is not free and requires ParkMobile app. It is a fixed fee. Easy to use on smart device or at pay stations.

I always love going to The Houston Arboretum for my nature photography shots. I have been trying to capture hummingbirds for years but rarely saw them. I was lucky to catch a few near the gift shop today! They are so tiny, and tough to capture lol. All in al the entire Park is an amazing adventure! Until next time!

I'm pretty sure this place is amazing to walk through when we have enough rain to keep trees and flowers alive. Even so, we had a nice time cruising through its paths.

We always love an arboretum visit! Have been many times! Great spot for a hot day because there is shade and an indoor nature center to explore and cool off! All three of my kids have a blast for different reasons. We love the water pump and rope web to climb on, and we love all the critters inside! Parking is $5 all day (pay by machine or app) free on Thursdays!

A true sanctuary, with carefully arranged trails [some shaded, some veryyy sunlit]. Seems like there's been a lot of conservation steps taken to revitalise the local ecosystem, so that makes the path-only requests all the more significant. There are plenty of benches throughout for folks like me that needed to sit&think. Really grateful that there's a spacious natural place in this otherwise car&road-heavy city.

It's a great play to take the kids. But don't take your puppy cause they're not allowed everywhere and you'll be limited. But overall, we had a good time anyway.

I loved this place. Perfect place for a day of science and biology. They also have day camp here and regular events and activities. Clean, a place for water and restroom, and a playground in the back. There is a butterfly villa and trails to walk and explore
