Houston Public Library - Central Library offers a great selection of books and movies, making it an excellent place for reading and relaxation. The library is located next to beautiful City Hall and the historical Sam Houston Park, providing a lovely environment for visitors. The staff is friendly and courteous, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. However, some visitors have noted that the fourth floor, where children's books are currently located, feels cramped, and there are suggestions to move these resources to the first floor. While the library is clean and supportive, there are concerns about the presence of homeless individuals, which can impact the space available for others. Additionally, there are calls for better Wi-Fi service and bathroom renovations. On a positive note, the library offers useful services, such as passport assistance, with staff members like Yecenia being particularly praised for their help. Overall, this library is highly recommended for those seeking knowledge and a quiet place to study or relax.

I’m so happy for this library. It’s very big and retro. Being there feels like a time travel.
