I love the atmosphere at the Texans Y. They have everything I need and want to use for exercise without feeling crowded or stressful. The staff are helpful if needed. Facilities are very well kept up.

Charles Bruce, the director of the Texans YMCA flag football league has done an outstanding job this season! Our son has been in the flag football league this year and has enjoyed it immensely! Not only are the practices and games well organized and structured, there have been an amazing amount of benefits to being in the league that we never even knew were part of joining. The YMCA and the Texans have been very gracious and have hosted events for the kids as well as invited us to Texans games that we got to enjoy as a family and flag football team together. If this program exists again next year, we will definitely be back!

I just can’t stand this location of the Y. The employees there are so cunning and trying to steal from people, and harassing them financially when they try to cancel to extort more funds and maybe forcing to regret your decision. I don’t workout so I was qualified for the McNair scholarship for my son to attend program. I changed a program and they double charge me for it. I get a credit sitting in my account but they continued charging my card regardless. I got an email that they will extend the program for me one more month since I didn’t meet the requirements of 4 days in the club. I asked to cancel and Sheryl told me I needed to come in person which I did. They inform me that they will charge the membership for 1 more month based on their 10 days prior notice but will not refund my credit until next month cancellation, surprise!!! Why don’t you take the payment from my credit and return the rest? It could have been canceled long ago if I wasn’t required to come to the facility in the first place. Few hours later I get an email saying the McNair is canceled and they’ll charge the full price of membership. Why didn’t they tell me that when I was there to cancel? What happened to giving me one more month? Why do you think I’ll have the money to pay a greater amount than what I was paying with scholarship? Is it some kind of punishment for being truthful? They’re a bunch of disrespectful individuals, from the management to the front desk that pushed me to not attend in the first place. The guy scolded me like a child because I let my child go to the bathroom before he could take pictures. I went to the pearland location and was pleased they could explain to me how the swimming lines work, something they failed to do at the Texan that got me very irritated on that day and left with my kids 5 minutes after our arrival.I literally hate them, and I need to remember to never set foot in there again. I hate con artist.

I will be attending 3 days a week to partake in acqua exercise class with instructor Dr. Shavon LeBlanc. Great workout. She takes time to show you how to CORRECTLY do the moves. I have no fear of injury because I'm doing it correctly. #grateful #fun

Love this place. The lobby is full of history about the South Central YMCA which was the first YMCA built from ground up for African Americans in Houston, Texas.

This YMCA is nice and well kept, however, the weights are the older kind of weights. They don't have a ton of equipment so be aware of that. There is no sauna or steam room. There is also no pool. I didn't see a whole lot of classes available so that's no good. But it's nice if you just need a quick workout.

We enjoy using the pool with the best logo in America in the pool floor. We canceled our membership in the summer because we have no use for it as school started. Now in December I get a membership charge on my bank card and called to ask why, they charge me and won't return my STOLEN MONEY. If you are considering a membership do not have them store your card on record Someone there is charging cards without consen
