Do yourself a favor and go to a bigger bank. This one isn’t accommodating at all.

Horrible bank and customer service. Riz Shareef opened my account when I first moved here to Texas. at the time I had an NC ID and updated my ID to a texas license as a new resident. I went to a different brand to withdraw and had since moved from the address on my TX license so because my new address didn't match my ID he completely denied my request and wanted me to drive to the other side of town just to waste my time even more after me and the teller have been going back and forth with him trying to explain why my address is now different. He was very rude and the teller kept saying im trying to explain but hes yelling at me. Please save yourself time and find a new bank!!

Disorganized, dishonest, liars, scams galore. This is not a trustworthy business.I would not know where to begin to write out all the problems I've had with IBC over the last year. But my full complaints will be sent to the State's Attorney, FDIC, BBB, and more. For the sake of time, just please do yourself a favor and consider anyone else.Don't trust these scammers and liars.

Mr. Muhammad Faoir and Ms. Ashley were really helpful. I signed up with an account because IBC will print a card for you for free the first day when you walk in. No need to wait 10 days like other banks. Basic checking account has no fees. Sign up here.

Had an account for 10 years with IBC Bank. I recently had unauthorized transactions which caused NSF fees; with evidence and screenshots about it, I went to this location emailed a rep who never called me back about the case, received a letter a few days later about my account being closed and the bank DEMANDING to pay the fees before it went to collections to ruin my credit.

I called before arrived was advised that they would keep the doors open until 5:00....I informed the person who answered I worked down the street and could arrive in about 3 mins...arrived at 4:53pm and they totally ignored me at the door...I wouldn't have been as livid as I am had I not called because I understand that it's a holiday but blatantly lying to and looking at me as if I wasn't there is unacceptable.... I'll be complaining to corporate on the next business day... Ice berm with this bank floor 6 Year's btw

here we go... after YEARS with this institution, they UNILATERALLY terminated my account!! and did so through one letter in the mail. i got the letter friday saying my account will be terminated monday. i can't make this sh*t up!! its not like i'm some kind of hardened criminal, its not like i am wilding out in their branch office or abusive to the staff. quite the opposite, everybody in the office and i speak on a first name basis and i bank there about every week or so (also when i stop off and pick up a croissant at woodbar). i know they are slow, its not their fault, they are very tightly controlled by a central command that does not reside on premise. they don't have updated computer systems and they practically have to fill out a permission slip to use the restroom. i know they don't have access to even basic services we all take for granted. as an institution, they are antiquated by even early 90s standards. they call themselves "international" but that's a bogus joke. they can't process credit/debit transactions outside the country the way any other standard visa/mastercard can. you have to fill out a permission form, they charge something to initiate it, its only good for a few days of your trip, and with that too there's something stupid like a $3 per transaction fee. other quirks include a 3 week hold on the first check you deposit and a 3 month minimum before you can cash checks. also, the check to be cashed must be from a recognized "familiar" and "routine" source (like workplace, etc). i don't think they are an actual bank, rumor has it they are a hedge fund masquerading as a bank. but none of that mattered, i was still loyal to my neighborhood bank. i used my account in the neighborhood like anyone else would. i don't know why they would take issue with me for no damn reason. you don't mail dirty messages like a coward and expect to continue having me as a customer, so when i showed up to close my account, the branch manager wanted to have a minute to figure things out. ok, no problem. he called central command and they told him they "reviewed my account" and were suspicious of money transfers to paypal. (???) then the branch manager proceeded to ask me questions about my about my private life. (!!!) if this is a security issue, fine call me and ask, no problem. other than that, who the hell do you think you are violating my privacy without a warrant!?!? oh, and to answer your questions about what i do with my life and my money, ITS NONE OF YOUR F**KING BUSINESS! the sheer gall. the audacity. hey i got a question for you Mr. IBC, how big are your wife t*ts, hmm? naw, pics or its not true. YA SEE HOW THAT FEELS!? btw, i upload some of my money to paypal because when i am out of town its the only way i can get access to my funds, since you shameless a***oles are still stuck in the stone age. you are not a cop, and i am not your case. hugely insulting. f**k outta here. this place is taking up the spot of a better bank.

The teller Tala with the long last name totally disrespected my mother. My mother was asking for personal checks and Tala told us we don't have enough in the account to bother her with that request.

I find customer service to be lacking at this bank. There are no decision makers at any local branch, and when decisions are to be made, they are usually to the detriment of the customers. Now, don't get me wrong, the Customer Service reps are very accommodating, and go above and beyond their usual job description to help you out. I applaud Dave and Gerald at the Kirby branch, and Vasu at the Montrose branch. However, management outside of the bank seems to work in a reactionary fashion. In this day and age where electronic transactions take place at the speed of light, decisions don't. Worse, they are usually not favorable to their customers. I can now see why the average rating is 2.9: they are a less than mediocre. If this was a grade in school, it would be a 58%, which is failing. It would seem to me that upper management would look out for their customers, instead of insisting that we go through a lot of bureaucratic red tape. Unfortunately, most other banks are the same. Maybe they need to learn what real customer service is all about.
